  1. Banded 10/31/2011, First week liquids only. You will do great.
  2. OK ladies, they make lunch bags that freeze and will keep food cold for hours.
  3. You should have no problems. If you do, there are qualified lap band surgeons in other countries, especially Europe. Lap Band started over there! Watch what you eat.
  4. Take the time. Going back to work will make it harder to plan ahead for band friendly food. You need the practice at home first!
  5. Do what you want... what we say is not going to change your mind. It is already made up.
  6. A lot of doctors are still stuck in the low fat everything mode. b The atkins diet has proven that low fat is not the answer. I would count calories. Low fat BTW is usually higher calories and carbs!
  7. Try almond milk
  8. You will get better... too soon to panic!
  9. I hate to be nasty, but here goes... if you don't have time to eat how did you get heavy enough to need the surgery, just saying! Plan ahead... it is a new lifestyle and you can't just grab anything anymore. It is lifestyle change, not a choker collar.
  10. Yep... need nausea meds... sure beats throwing up! and sip sip sip! It will get better I promise!
  11. Scrambled eggs are fine... it is just that you have to focus on bite size. Same with chicken. If it is too big and you don't chew enough it can be a problem. Yes ladies, even scrambled eggs need to be chewed!
  12. As the surgery fades in out memory, it is easy to get sloppy about portion sizes and chewing and tracking EVERYTHING we eat. A small fill may help, but only if you focus as hard as you did at the start!
  13. Donna... well it is out now so you should have smooth sailing ahead. Just give yourself time to recover.
  14. Only your doctor can answer this question. Keep at him until you are satisfied that he has heard you and given you an answer you understand.
  15. Hope you feel better soon, if not, talk to you surgeon.
  16. This varies by doctor. You've got to trust he knows what he is doing.
  17. Keep on them, you have a lot invested! Don't give up!
  18. Keep typing, you can't eat when your hands are busy!
  19. Hang in there... we all went through it! If we didn't like to eat, we would not be here!
  20. Perfectly normal dear... just don't let it throw you off course. You will be banded before you know it! Welcome!
  21. Great work. We are all proud of you!
