  1. I know how you feel, but trust me... I will not kill you and it will pass! (pardon the pun) Better days are coming!
  2. The lap band is a journey, not a destination. It is with us for the rest of lives. It does not have a separate will, it is up to us to provide the motivation and work to help it help us!
  3. They are living under the misconception that you can lose weight and keep it off with diet and exercise. Not so! They probably are trying to make you feel better about yourself, but only you can do that by losing the weigh and starting a new lifestyle. Stay positive on you commitment.
  4. Surgery is less than 1 hour.
  5. Donna, you are not alone this journey, nor are you the only person who has had these problems. It is part of the program. Accept it, don't second guess it and get well soon!

  7. Uhhh... Liquids maybe that why it is called a liquid diet. The pre-diet is for surgery prep and the post-diet is for healing. Why have the surgery if you can't do a liquid diet for a few weeks. It is really ot that tough!

Why is that when someone posts the honest opinion, which you ask for by coming here, you find it easier to slam them than to listen thoughtfully. Soon this will be a coddle only forum, and no one will benefits from the experience successful bandster have had. Just Sayin'! We need the balance!

  12. I only take 5000 biotin, and not facial hair. Could be hormones changes due to weight loss.

  18. Most people have at most one overnight in the hospital. Many are done as outpatient. Most seem to go back to work in 7- 10 days. The complete "recovery" takes 6-8 weeks. Ask away, we are here to help. Lap Band is one of the best decisions I ever made for myself!
  19. Work with your doctor to help you with a plan.
  20. Mine came right back up. Taste is nasty!
