  1. Check with both the OBGYN and nutritionist. I would think you might need more solid foods. Don't go crazy eating, but make sure the baby is healthy. You will def. gain from the baby, so don't expect large continues weight loss.
  2. Wonderful! I agree.... play the lotto numbers too!
  3. Fruitcake!!!! Cast the sinners out! LOL. All will come in good time.
  4. Just say no to carbonation!
  5. Try 2-3 ounces of liquid every 15 minutes and sip slowly. This will add up to enough liquid for the day during waking hours. When you add in liquid protein, try drinking 2-3 oz of that at the top of each hour to help you keep track. This is the schedule I used for 3 weeks on liquid diet post-op. Get in the required amount of protein and fluids. Bee Well!
  6. I too could sleep on my tummy from the beginning. Although as mis73 says... it is somewhat awkward at first to get there! I wish you luck. Worst case if the recliner works use it, or start in bed and if you roll and wake yourself, move to the recliner. Best wishes. Fortunately this stage does not last too long for most people. I hope yours passes quickly!
  7. Thanks Alex, and thanks Missy for sharing your story with us.
  8. Great post!! So true.. but dang you get up early! LOL!
  9. Good advice Pebbagirl!
  10. Sometimes the weight loss messes with hormones. I would definitely talk to doctor, but one test does not a problem make. Give the blood levels time to settle down. They checked mine 6 mos post-op and they were fine.
  11. Go slow... sliming is no fun. You may want to stick to liquids for a day. Good luck! Bee Well
  12. I took pain pills for the first two days. I think Tylenol is a bit light. Everyone has different pain thresholds, but really? You need to be prepared. Bee Pain Free!
  13. Sounds early for mushies, but I would follow doctor's orders. Keep bites very small, and small sips. I did the three week liquids after surgery so no help there. The first mushy food I tried was scrambled eggs and cottage cheese, but chew even these!
  14. SF Fudgesicle? SF Candy?
  15. Some antibiotics can cause nausea, especially on an empty stomach. There are also a lot of stomach bugs going around from what I have read. You probably don't want to be throwing up, so call the surgeon for a nausea medication. Bee Well!
  16. Follow docs orders and congratulations on your surgery! Bee Healthy!
  17. Took the words right out of my mouth!
  18. Well said... we are all unique individuals. Bee Healthy!
  19. The port can usually be felt, but it is often sewn to the muscle near the band. If you lie on your back you may be able to feel a slight protrusion. If that is where the pain is...sit down and take it easy. You need to heal. When was your surgery? Do you have anyone to call to help with the kids? I wish you well.

Oh I have so been there! Enjoy the shake!
  21. Maybe stay home and recover from surgery? This is serious stuff. You could very well be on pain meds still, incisions will not have healed. My vote would be stay home. I know I will get bashed for being negative, but sometimes you have to decide which is more important, your health or your social life! If you really can't miss the game, cancel the surgery.
  22. Love, the quote! 2MF!
  23. I agree with Cheryl. Unless you ave every fill under fluoroscopy, and even then, the swelling is not accounted for. The docs go by what we tell them we eat, which is why they ask. They don;t do it to see if you are cheating, but to determine how well the band is working for you as an individual.
