1 week out and pain!

i had am umbilical hernia repair during surgery and i was done with only 2 incisions. one in my belly button and one up high just between my breasts to hold my liver during surgery. i am pretty active, im a stay at home mom. i have a 3 and a half yr old and a 8month old. im not sure if it was the laundry or the cleaning up the toys or picking up the baby but i have a horrible burning pain about 3 fingertips to the left of my bellybutton. its random and almost reminds me of a phantom pain like after a c-section. but burns! i took tylonel but no relief. i finally called the doctor around 7 , which i hated to do but i couldnt stand it anymore. he says he thinks i was doing to much and tore the area near my port. i dnt even know where my port is yet! but goodgollymissmolly this is painful. he said for me to take ibrprofin 400mg every six hours with a meal. anybody else have this issue? pain near the port?

The port can usually be felt, but it is often sewn to the muscle near the band. If you lie on your back you may be able to feel a slight protrusion. If that is where the pain is...sit down and take it easy. You need to heal. When was your surgery? Do you have anyone to call to help with the kids? I wish you well.
