  2. once a week, birthday suit, in the morning. (Sounds like a Clue answer!) Also weigh at the docs, but his scale is exactly 3 lbs lighter than mine. I record my numbers and he is always happy!
  3. I have read on another post here that any barriatric surgery prevents you from serving in the military, but def ask a recruiter.

You go Dee! What a great story! Rock the house!
  5. Sorry you have had health issues. If you want to re commit to the band, you know what to do.
  6. I have not noticed a seasonal difference in my band.
  7. I believe that the band is the best if you don't want to have your tummy cut up. Investigate Band with Plication which is very positive in early tests.
  8. I love when everyone kisses and makes up! LOL
  9. It's the size of the bites, how well it is chewed, and even the type of meat involved. Some steak is drier and stringier than others.
  10. Talk to your parents and you PCP. You will need their support. It take a lot of commitment and want power, as well as focus... not sure first year of college is the time for this surgery.
  11. Drink by the clock... at least 2 oz every 15 minutes. In a 12 hour day that will let you get in 96 oz. That should be plenty.
  12. See a nutritionist and work out a plan for 3 meals a day and a calorie goal. It is not good to eat only one time a day. Your metabolism will shut down. What do you typically eat in your meals?
  13. It has just been a long day with the same questions over and over. It really would help if folks did a search on the topic of their question and read previous posts before starting another thread.
  14. You should do whatever your doctor and nutritionist recommend.
  15. Are you still on pain medication or nausea meds? Either of these can cause that fuzzy feeling. Also, if you are sitting more than usual, it could be hyper-static blood pressure. Try standing still for a few seconds when you get up to walk around and that may help.
  16. I am with Cheryl... follow the doctors orders.... otherwise why bother?
  17. SO happy you found someone you feel good about to care for you.
  18. Great NSV! Made me smile, because I had to have all my chains shortened and it was a great feeling! Congrats!
  19. Support person, and comfy clothes.
  20. Measure portions and eat as directed by your doctor or nutritionist. Exercise is very important as well!
  21. Give it time. Most have several fills before the band makes a significant difference. It is all about changing your lifestyle and no depending on the band to do the work.
  22. Make your commitment or don't have the surgery. You really should not do it if you can't control yourself. Try counseling for while first. The band only works if you do.
