  1. A agree with Missy... make an appointment and get checked out. Oh... it goes without saying.. I would not do that again! But you know that now! Hope all is OK.
  2. Congratulations, now update that ticker and brag on! You are being successful!
  3. Welcome to the forum. There is a lot of support here. I found it very helpful on my journey so far. Lots of folks are nurses, and yes we were all nervous. I think that makes you normal! Bee Healthy
  4. Oh no! It sounds very unpleasant. Good luck going forward. I hope you are able to get back to your weight loss journey soon.
  5. I bought a couple of outfits from discount stores to keep something that fit. A lot of folks use Goodwill and I have found they have great deals... sometime on name brands with label still attached. Belts help! Good luck on your journey.
  6. I agree that more patients fail due to their in-ablilty to accept and follow the guidelines. I see a lot of people who got the band so they would get magically thin. Well it didn't happen like magic for me. I worked for and every other successful bansdster I know has worked hard for it.
  7. I don't know... obviously did not like a post a made somewhere. Thanks for the comments.
  8. Guess I know who will block me first. To everyone... I don't post to be mean or hateful, but if this isn't real life what is? I sure thought lap band surgery was real!
  9. This is what I got from another member, as a result of some unnamed post I made. Pretty sure it violates forum rules, but I wanted everyone to see what us so called "old timers" have to put up with. Sorry for the graphic language. Anyone who wants to block me, go for it! Bee Well "Stop being such a mean b***h and a bully. Get a life in the real world and stop pretending this is real. Please block me since I can't seem to block you and f**k yourself. You are not better then anyone else anywhere so stop acting like you are. Your ,mother would be ashamed at how you act and treat people. Lucifer will dine on yor brains!"
  10. Your docs office should have given you an info packet. If not call and ask to speak to the nutritionist, as every doctor seems to have different approaches. If I told you something it would just as likely be wrong as right.
  11. Hang in there. it is a tough time of year and the body does strange stuff while healing. Stay away from the scales for a few days, and eat more protein.
  12. Get the free info packet online, and use it to talk with your parents.
  13. You need to eat and drink, especially with congestion. Call the doc on Monday and keep drinking whatever you can!
  14. Should be fine if it runs off the spoon!
  15. I would recommend Protein Shakes, Soup broth, strained creamed Soups, sf popsicles, Try almond milk. I am sure others will post more
  16. Welcome! Come back to visit often! And... congrats on beginning the journey.
  17. I don't think the fill and unfills affect the band. It does not stretch to my knowledge at least? Anyone else? What did the doctor say?
  18. Bump up the protein content?
  19. Every doc is different! I wish it were not so, but it is. Know that if you run into problems you can alwlays back off. Take small bites. Follow Doctors' orders. Bee Well
  20. Not too unusual. Drink slow and this stage will pass! Bee Well!
  21. PEACE OUT ALL! I know the holidays are stressful, but don't complain about people who take time to post. Take what you want and leave the rest. It is not personal unless you make it personal! Bee Healthy
  22. CG is right, every doc is different. I just would not drink a whole lot right before eating cause I want to get real food in without getting the FULL feeling. FULL means too full to my body! Bee Healthy!
  23. Personal is personal. Do what you believe in!
  24. Good luck to you all... but watch out... surgery does not end the food dreams!
  25. Good luck with surgery. Sounds like you are ready. Come back and let us know how you are doing!
