  1. I know some of the protein shakes can be awful! Have you ordered samples from different companies to see what kind you like? I know somedays I do not want to have a shake so I have some milk and add unflavoured unjury protein to it. Are you able to drink milk yet? Or does your body reject it? Try almond milk or soy milk or lactaid milk? I have heard you can add powdered milk to your milk to double up on the protein. These are the best suggestions I can give you for the liquids stages.
  2. Sending my best wishes on getting everything worked out and you finally getting what you want in life.
  3. Sending my best wishes on a quick recovery. Sometimes I could just smack the doctors that dismiss peoples pain. Glad you went to your doctor and are going to be treated.
  4. When you can eat only 500 calories a day and feel like you have been drinking all day to get that!
  5. Right now I am still on liquids so I am taking 3 shakes a day which puts me over the 60g of Protein. Depends on the shake but most that I have tried from the sample packs are 23g of protein each. When I am on regular food I am going to try to get most of my protein from food if I can. If not I have found some shakes that I like (Syntrax nectar and Unjury). Hope this helps.
  6. I have heard of some people using their tax money cashing out some 401K or you could get a medical loan. Cost depends on where you go? Where do you live (live near)? Are you wanting to stay in the US or are you willing to travel to Mexico? I do not know about revision costs but other sleevers on this site might have those answers for you.
  7. Here is a link to the information I was suggeston about sample packs. liquid Protein samples
  8. Everyone's experience with protein is different. I would suggest you get sample packs from different retailers (I know there is a list of places to order on this site). Try out the sample packs and make your own decision. I have heard people say they hate this one and like others and then someone else liking the ones others hate and so on. It just boils down to your own personal taste. Sample packs should help you find the right one for you.
  9. Sending my best wishes on a fast and painfree recovery!
  10. There is always hope and if it doesnt work well then there is always plastics for me and anyone who wants to go that route . Compression garments please please please work!
  11. Congratulations!!! Hawaii sounds like a wonderful place to go. I dream of fitting into a plane seat without being uncomfortable or having to use a seat belt extender. I hope to follow in your footsteps with the weightloss.
  12. I have the no energy thing off and on during the day. I wake up tired but not sleepy and then about an hour after I have something to eat (well drink as Im still on liquids) I perk up. Then its back down later in the afternoon and up in the evening. Its a really big adjustment for my body to go from the calories I was taking to what I am getting in now. I am hoping things will get better when I am on solid foods. Hope you are feeling better soon.
  13. Congratulations! I can not wait to reach that goal as well.
  14. congratulations on starting your journey to a healthier you! The time will seem to go slow at first and then next thing you know the surgery is right around the corner. There is a lot of very useful information on this site and very helpful people. You will soon be on the losers bench with the rest of us!
  15. I was provided bottled water and drank that. Better to be safe than sorry I say!
  16. Sending out best wishes on a speedy painfree recovery! Soon you too will be on the losers bench
  17. Awesome NSV! Now you can go and buy some smaller clothes to show off your smaller body!
  18. Sending all my best wishes on getting your taxes in time for your surgery! I had to delay mine by 6 months and it felt like torcher to wait that time.
  19. What an awesome NSV! I can not wait to experience those NSV's for myself. Have fun in your sexy lingerie.
  20. Well being a stylist if your hair does thin you would know what to do to make it look good. The loss is only temporary as your progress through new growth will come back and you will have your hair back. Basically you need to weight the pros and cons for yourself and make your own decision that you are willing to live with. I for one will support any decision you make and not say how you should deal with your fears!
  21. No weird dreams before hand for me, but after thats another story. I have been having the weirdest food dreams. I think its my fears playing out in my dreams. As they always entail me eating something that I shouldn't. Hope the dreams start to get better for you. I know mine are.
  22. Thanks Tiffiecakes I was having one heck of a time finding affordable prices and shipping to Canada. I checked out maidenform and it was reasonable. Thanks again!
  23. Sometimes the anestheic in our bodies causes some foods to taste different. Do not ask me how that works but the last major surgery (before the sleeve) a couple of years ago. Certain food tasted different and it took upwards of a year before the correct flavour came back to me. I am having a similar situation with certain liquids right now and when I move onto mushies and then full food I will see what else is different. I am hopeful that my taste will adjust back to normal like it did the last time. Hope this helps.
  24. I was also told to keep my carbs low and my protein high. See if you can cut your carbs back to 40 or 30 g per day and up your protein to 60 or 70 g. So just like everyone else's advise.
