Does anyone else not take calcium citrate?
As Tiffykins said you can take it but you need to have an acidic environment in your stomach to take it. It is a poor form of Calcium. I hope you find something that works. I have a really good liquid one from Costco made by wellesse.

Did I fail the sleeve?
Can you give a daily run down of what you eat? Like how many carbs, Protein, your Water and Vitamin intake. Do you have any metabolic disorders that would cause you to be a slow loser? Do you know the size of bougie your doctor used to "size" your stomach? Have you tried the 5 day pouch test? That being said your sleeve will stretch a bit. Sleevers that are over 1 year have said they can eat more than they could at 2-3 months post op. I am not sure about getting resleeved or ways to shrink the sleeve. The 5 day pouch test is more of a get yourself off carbs and kick start your loss again. Have you consulted with your doctor? If you answer some of these questions the veteran sleevers will be able to make suggestions that may help you.

Weird Food Cravings
I craved cheese also!! I even went to the trouble to chew up a piece to get the taste then spit it out. Liquid phase had me craving foods and the most vivid dreams about food also. It did pass when I got to mushies.

How did you tell friends & family about having WLS?
I told no one pre surgery and after surgery I only told my immediate family. I do not want the negative ignorant comments from people. I had a friend who has WLS a little while back and the rude comments that were said behind her back (never to her face) just boiled my blood. So they can speculate but several months before surgery I started cutting out carbs, increasing my Protein and talking about exercising. They can attribute all this hard work I am doing without knowing I have one extra very helpful tool. That I am so glad I got it! Everyone is different and so to each their own as to the reasons for telling or not. Hope you find the best choice for you.

Leaving on a jet plane....
I think most people have their doubts about having the surgery due to the "what ifs". I did until I researched the heck out of the surgery. I reassured myself that this was my best option and that I had to either go through with it and have a good chance at becoming healthy or remain obese the rest of my life. As you can see I chose health. I think it is normal to be afraid. You will do fine. Just remember to walk walk walk and sip sip sip. See you on the losers bench.

My Life Still Sucks
How much Water are you getting in? Dehydration will cause a viscious cycle of nausea and then not wanting to drink. Have you tried to add an electrolyte drink to your daily water regime? If you need a private ear to chat with you can private message me and I will try to be of assistance even if it is just lending a sympathetic ear. Hope you find the answers you are looking for and are on your way to feeling better.

Obstacle 2: Sleeve Prices Vary
Shybaby do not take offense to my question I am just wanting to clarify what you said. Everyone should feel comfortable in their decision as to whom they chose as a doctor and you appear comfortable in yours.

Obstacle 2: Sleeve Prices Vary
Did you really say you were one of eight on one day or was that over a couple of days?

Day 25: I lost this whole post.
Bitten by a vampire. Does that mean you are going to sparkle in the sunshine soon? I have to say I am 2 months out and forget that I had major surgery not too long ago. Well besides the restriction but when it comes to activities I sometimes over do it because of the afformentioned forgetting.

Band Removed!!!...Sleeve Approved...but postponed!
I personally would take the trip and then have the surgery. If you still have not heard when your surgery will be in May and you are leaving in June you would need some recovery time. Plus toting around protien powders to make sure you get in your Protein in the beginning might be a pain in the tushy. Go have the trip and then come back and be ready for the surgery. Then you will know that you have had an good amount of healing time for your stomach, and you can start your journey in the comfort of your own home. You will get there even if it is a couple of weeks later. I also think what if you are travelling and you have a problem how would you deal with the overseas doctors? Hope this helps.

12wk Pregnancy Appt Update- U/S and Bump Pics
Sprout is adorable and you look so cute with your baby bump!!! Hope you get the acid under control. Cause I know how it sucks especially when you are trying to sleep. Does being in a more upright position help with the acid? Maybe putting a telephone book under your mattress at your head could raise it enough to help.

Is. Dr. Aceves really THAT great?
I think everyone has made the decision for whom they wanted to go see by one factor or multiple factors. Some go by price others by experience and others by the doctors personal complication rate. Price was my first factor in not having my sleeve surgery in Canada (cost upwards of 20,000 out of pocket Nooo thank you). After I narrowed my search down to Mexico I did my research on all of the doctors I hear good things about and for ME I went with the one whom had no leaks and many people raved about him. Ultimately you should make your decision on what you believe is best for you. I can say Dr Aceves is worth every penny you spend but it is still your decision on whom you want to perform the surgery. There are many talented surgeons out there as you can see by all the testimonies posted on the different sites. You will make the best decision for you.
