  1. I am right there with you, 27 lbs to go....I am six months out and I hear that is when weight loss slows a bit....grrrr!
  2. Hi Rootman, I am jealous, I want a new bike! Congrats to you! I agree 100%, this surgery was soooo worth it, I feel like a new person....I AM a new person!
  3. Best of luck to all you September sleevers!
  4. I am a Pisces: I am 10 on all, no issues whatsoever ( well other than some hair loss) I am 6 months out, 27 lbs from goal so I say I am doing pretty well!
  5. I love spicy foods too and I havent had any issues since surgery....Good old trial and error is all you can do, crossing my fingers for you, I cant imagine no more spicy foods either!
  6. Wow, you look amazing! Keep up the fantastic work! Thanks so much for sharing.
  7. Wow, sorry you had to go thru all that. Why didnt they take it out when they did your sleeve? Sure would have been easier on you! Best of luck for a speedy recovery!
  8. I felt the same way, I have to think more about food now than I did before! Sounds like you are on the right track. Your body will tell you when it is ready for a change, mine did. I really didnt have much of an issue getting into the good food routine, there are sooo many good choices out there if you really look. I am doing much better now, 6 months out. I can eat pretty much anything with no issues. Best of luck to you!
  9. I was able to have protein drinks the day I got home, a week later for thinned yogurts, soups etc
  10. You are doing great, that sounds about right. Keep up the good work and dont get discouraged, remember, slower weight loss means less loose skin!
  11. Mine was a computer assessment which took about 15 minutes and then a 15 minute talk with the nut, very simple process, just a bunch of questions , some were kinda stupid but....
  12. Oh yes...started at 4 months...at 6 months now and still losing it. It is dryer than it was too...driving me crazy!!! I hope it stops soon...I have fine hair and I can reallly notice the difference. It does get better...but when?
  13. It is too hot here to do much. I have lots of yardwork to do, we have 3/4 of an acre, there is always something to do! Thinking of going to the coast, it is cooler there! Yardwork can wait!!!
  14. First of all...congrats on your weight loss, you are doing amazing! I am 6 months out and have the same issues, hair loss, sagging skin ( that is only on my arms and a little on the butt...lol) You are just where your body needs to be, everyone is different. Keep up the fantastic work!
  15. Without a doubt...I would do it all over again! I had absolutely no issues. I am 28 lbs from goal in 6 months. Everyone is different but in reading this forum, most had very little or no issues. I wasnt able to lose the weight before but now I am. I had high blood pressure...gone! I have my energy back, I can keep up with the kids now too! I eat what I want. I make healthier choices but I do not go without. Best of luck in your decision.
  16. Today: Breakfast: Muscle Mik rtd.. snack: banana Lunch: 1 c lettuce, 5 oz fake crab, 1/2 c cherry tomatoes, 2 tbsp dressing snack: string cheese Dinner: 4 oz hamburger patty, 1 c lettuce, 1/2 c cherry tomaotes, 2 tbsp dressing snack: 1 pudding cup ( maybe) or an apple
  17. Thanks for the info, I will check and see if my prescription plan covers it, I never thought of that!
  18. I was told the same, using the dreaded condoms...grrr! I am thinking an IUD but my insurance doesnt cover it, weird huh? They cover weight loss surgery ( in full 100%) but not birth control like that, unbelievable! My husband is considering a vasectomy since we are 46 and 44, dont need any more kids!
  19. Sounds like acid reflux, call your doc to make sure. Best of luck to you.
  20. You are doing fantastic, keep up the good work!
  21. Thanks CaliKat! Looks like you are doing fantastic too!
  22. Woo hoo! I am excited for you! You will have all the emotions but you will do just fine! Best of luck to you, keep us posted. My surgery went perfectly, no issues at all after other than being tired so hopefully yours will be the same!
  23. It is understandable to be scared but look at the other side of this, you must have some co-morbidities, wouldnt it be great to get rid of most, if not all of those? You have to weight the pros and cons, I can guarantee there are more pros! Best of luck to you!
  24. I havent yet but it is commom I hear. How about going for a walk or doing a chore when you get the munchies? I know, easier said then done but you have done sooo good, why sabotage yourself? Best of luck to you, you CAN do this!!!
