  1. You did great, just what we are supposed to do. We can have treats every once in a while, just in small portions. If we deny ourselves we may fall off the wagon persey. I do the same, if it something I know I shouldnt have much of I have a couple bites and I am full and over it. Craving gone! ( The lamb sounds wonderful by the way, I dont get it much since my family doesnt like it)

  2. I thought the same thing but I am doing ok. It does get easier with the solid foods, at least I think it is for me. I fill up quicker and with less with the solids, especially chicken. You are doing great...keep up the good work!

  3. I am sooo excited for you! Trust me, you wont be worrying about putting on makeup etc...you will be too tired. I only brought a large tee, undies and a large pair of pj pants and some socks. I had my phone charger, gas-x, a band to put my hair up and chapstick ( didnt need gas-x by the way) I may be a bit different cause I was only 30 minutes away from my house but trust me , you wont be needing much. Keep us posted on your recovery and prayers your way!

  4. Best of luck to you on your new journey! I can see you are ready, I was the same way, sooo excited, nervous etc but I would do it all over again in a heatbeat! I am 1 month out tomorrow and feeling fab! Keep us posted, I know you will do great with your positive attitude!

  5. I had a few drinks at about 2 1/2 weeks out and didnt feel any different than I would have before surgery. I had them over a course of 4-5 hours so maybe that is why. I just sipped them ( vodka/cranberry) with water as well. I dont think every once in a while will hurt but I am sure they dont want you to drink because of the empty calories like everyone else says. Your body will tell you when it doesnt like something for sure.

  6. I am sorry you are having a rough time. I dont understand the two week pre-op diet, seems stupid to me. I had to do a 2 day clear liquid diet , my doc says that is just fine. I know they want you to lose some weight before surgery but I had no problem doing that since I had 4 months between my first appt and surgery. They should make them all like that in my opinion. Hang in there, keep us posted on how you are doing.

  7. Hang in there, you can do it!!! I got lucky, no issues at all. I was up walking 1 hour after getting back to my hospital room ( My surgery was Feb 9th) and was out shopping on the 13th, I just had to get out of the house. I had no gas...thanks goodness, my best friend had the bypass done and was miserable. Sending best wishes to you, it will all get better soon.
