  1. I take those also, 1 a day when I can remember!
  2. Congrats! I can see how it can be confusing though, my Dr's and nurses were excited about my weight loss (23 pounds), I was filled with 3cc's during surgery and .5 at my first fill because I couldn't handle a full cc, they evn had me schedule a 2 weeks appt to get another fill. Keep up the good work!! I also eat 5-6 small meal insead of 3 larger ones a day.
  3. I wish I would have known! I went straight to food, which was a small amount of shredded chicken and a small amount of mashed beans, today I made a chicken soup w/ potatoes and squash in it. So nothing too hard, mostly mushy anyway. Next time I will know!! Thanks!!
  4. Maybe that's why I got full so quickly today? It didn't make me feel uncomfortable though...
  5. I was filled to 3cc's in a 10cc's band during surgery, so today when I went in for my first fill the nurse said she had to take the Fluid out to make sure it was accurate and then put in the same 3 plus 1 more and had me drink some Water and it got stuck! I then had to lay down so she can remove some and I couldn't even do that without the water coming to my throat. In the end she finally took some out and said she only left about .3 in there and to go back in 2 weeks. I asked why I felt SO much tighter with just one more CC and she said it was because she had to remove it all and then replace it so it tightens the band more at first than when they just go in and add fluid. Has anyone heard of this? What if I can't ever handle more CC's? I'm worried...Oh and she also said to eat normal today, that I didn't have to go on liquids since she hardely put any in there and I can tell a difference in the amount I'm able to eat. Not sure if it's because of the tiny fill or maybe just swollen from the fill? Anyone else experience this? Thanks!!
  6. I felt horrible for about 4 days and then a tiny bit better but couldn't walk straight cause of the gas pains. To me I think my Dr sugar coated everything! Lol I don't regret having it done though...But like everyone says, everyone is different.
  7. Thanks everyone!! Lots of great tips, I think I'm going to forever be scared to even eat anything that's not mushy! Not sure I'll ever have a piece of steak, I never was much of a steack eater anyway, good thing! I have my second fill tomorrow and I'm worried! I'm not scared of needles, I'm just scared they are going to hurt my incisions.
  8. Thanks! TMI but mine wasn't just slime, I actually had to gag like almost throwing up, so that would be hard to hide in public...I hope it never happens again to ANY of us!
  9. Thank-you!! I had actually read somewhere on these boards to always have the little cans of pineapple juice handy cause it would help with a stuck episode, well not in my case! Lol.
  10. No i don't think I chewed it up as well as I was suppose to. It's SOOOO hard to remember!
  11. Thanks Jersey! While waiting for responses I got hungry and ate a little bit of mashed potatoes, turkey and gravy it was one of the smart ones frozen dinners. (I ate less than half) And so far so good, I do feel a bit sore though, like in my chest area.
  12. Questions about PBing, Sliming or just plain throwing up...I've been reading about it but had not experienced it until this morning and OMG it was really bad!! First off I blame myself because I was eating something VERY bad! Yesterday I had a slice of toast bread with a tiny bit of Peanut Butter and I was fine so today fro Breakfast I had the same thing, only difference was this was first thing in the morning vs yesterday it was in the afternoon. It went down fine and when I was done I came to sit on my couch and it started! WOW I still can't believe how bad it was, I felt it get stuck and my chest was hurting, I tried Water and pineapple juice and nothing, it actually got worse. I started walking around the house and I started getting very anxious like I was short of breath. All this lasted about 5-6min but it felt like FOREVER, my nose kept running and it felt like I needed to sneeze and burp at the same time but nothing was happening, I was home alone with my 3 kids and was very scared. TMI*** Finally I threw up but it was all slime, and I felt a bit better...Now Questions; Why didn't the bread come back up? What if this happens in public? What can I do if it does happen again? Should I stick to liquids today? I had my surgery a little over 3 weeks ago and I had first fill during surgery, my next one is this tuesday. P.S Yesterday was the first time I had bread, so today was day 2 and probably last! LOL I WILL NOT HAVE BREAD AGAIN!! (for a very long time)
  13. Thanks! I hadn't even thought about chili or beans, I wish I liked eggs :/
  14. So I have been on mushies for 3 days now and I'm wondering what else to try. So far I've had a fish soup, grilled fish, mashed potatoes, oatmeal and tuna. What did you eat? And what comes after mushies? Just tried some Sherbet icecream and that didn't go down so well, not sure why? Maybe cause I wasn't hungry? Thanks for all your help!
  15. Good Luck! I hope ur recovery is a lot better than mine!! I still don't regret it though...
  16. So you lost over 100 pounds in about 5-6 months? WOW!! That is awesome! How did you do it? I'm so scared of getting 'stuck' and not loosing anymore weight. I'm also a size 26 and would kill for a 14!! LOL, I weighed 293 and down to 274 and it seems like I've been there for a few days now....I need to start on my treadmill soon.
  17. Just googled Pastina cause I didn't know what it was, maybe I can add that to my fish soup. I thought we weren't suppose to have rice or pasta? Is it okay to have in week 3?
  18. Thanks for the ideas! I am soooo tired of soups though I haven't had any noodles though...I guess I'm tired of the whole broth and creamy things. Haha the beef and sourcream sound delish! Any more ideas??? I'm thinking of making a fish soup that I pulled off line, it sounds really good.
  19. Thanks! I will be on mushies this friday, what did you have during that stage? I'm confused as to what it is beside mashed potatoes :/
  20. So I fixed my constipation problem with a gentle laxative and some pineapple juice and now I have diarrhea! I am 10 days post surgery, and although I'm glad to be having any bm's at all, I want to be regular again! Will that ever happen? Will it get better once I start eating some actual food?
  21. I know what you mean!!! I can't tell a difference in my clothes either, only in my face, my face is going to dissappear before I say and results in my waist! Hang in there, we have to!!
  22. OMG! You all have me LOL! I'm so glad I'm not alone, cause hubby thought I was a bit crazy! I don't think I'm going to get over it until I lick a hot cheeto or 2 I guess it's just the temptaion of it...It's too funny about the pizza! CONGRATS Cindy on the 149 pounds lost! WOW! That is incredible
  23. Okay i know how crazy and gross this sounds, but I've been craving hot cheetos and I'm seriously thinking about buying some just to lick them to get the taste of them! WOW, okay that does sound crazy...Has anybody else just licked something to taste it knowing they can't actually eat anything yet?
  24. Thanks!!! I am going to the store now to buy some Activia! At this point I think I would rather have diarreah than this
  25. So tomorrow will be 1 week post LapBand surgery and I've been trying to use the restroom with no such luck. I've tried Benefiber and some Fiber Choice chewables and nothing! What helped you? On a good note I've lost 18 pounds (8 pre-op) so that's exciting, but I'm still a bit bloated and I'm guessing it's because I haven't had a BM. Any suggestions??
