I Just Wanna POOP!
Remember less in means less out. Even if you are going once per week it is ok as long as you are not experiencing pain or discomfort... I had a very ugly struggle with diarrhea in my first 4 weeks and I am now regular after some colestipol medication prescribed by surgeon. But I only go about once per week, he says thats fine as long as there is no pain or discomfort.. if so try some prune juice or just eat a few dried prunes or apricots... they will deffinately make you go....all natural as well...

21 yrs old and one week post-op!
You know I did not have that feeling at all. I can eat anything I want just, a much smaller protion of it. I just last weekend had buffalo wings and spinach dip at Fridays. Now I had about; 5 chips with dip and 3 or 4 wings and I was done. Before the sleeve, I could have eaten the whole order of both and drank three large beers with it.. Not anywhere near that now....

Let's try this again!
Pain is not and issue, if that is what is scaring you. Then you have nothing to stop you. The medication the Dr will give you will more than take care of it.... It is by far the easiest surgery I have ever had. 1 tonsilectomy 1 appendectomy 7 knee surgeries 6 Laprascopes, 1 reconstruction 1 gall bladder removal several large wounds sewn back together 1 finger sewn back on.. 1 VSG - easiest surgery I have ever had, I went back to work in 5 days... 2 days in hospital 2 day at home 1 day spent getting the Dr. to release me for work...

Just stay on the diet...
People without weight issue tend to just think of people with weight issue as lazy or just undisciplined. I can tell you I have been on many diets for more than a year and some more than 2 years and they all make you lose weight but none of them last forever.. They just do not have the perspective of being over wieght. If they had to wear a fat suit for just one day in public it would change their mind forever.... Consider the source and move on with your life, most of the time they are not even worth wasting time to try to educate them....

Just need a little advice.
Know that most of the replies you just got were from Women. They seem to have a little more of an issue drinking large amouts of fluids after the surgery in general. I as a male found it to be really easy to get down all 64 oz. of Fluid every day and I went back to work in 6 days... Good luck and try to post you questions in the Man Room section for a more male perspective if needed.....

Tired after protein shake
I find it a battle to eat anything, and it feels a little like a work out. After eating anything I feel like i had to struggle to eat... I figured it was just because i was having to think about eating instead of just filling the hugh void that was my stomach....

No support from boyfriend and family
I told my family I was considering WLS. I got some negative feed back so I did it any way without as much as telling them anything else. After the surgery, they all said why didn't you tell us you were having surgery. I said if you had been more supportive when I said I was considering it I may have included you. Since you weren't I decided i didn't need the negativity around during a trying and emotional time.. next time they should think before they say somthing about somebody elses decisions; because they just might leave you out of the next one.. Good luck...
