I have had something since last week! It has hit me hard, and I hear it is going around. A virus? I dont know. The runs and throwing up like never before. Does anyone know if you have on a band and get this sick, are ya able to throw up, what happens with this? Please, anyone know?

Hello, I also am new to this board, and I also am 55 and I also am seeing my Dr. on February 20, to set up what I hope is the band surgery at least by April. Hope we can keep in contact with this as we have some things in common!!

I am wondering after reading so many posts, if there is any particular order that one goes through to get to the banding part? Like, what are the steps? Does anyone know what steps go first. I read some see a shrink, some go to a dietitian, some do a sleep study and some go to how many consultations? Or, is it just different on everyone depending on the Dr... thanks....

Has anyone been banded at Hurley Hospital in Flint, Michigan? If so, how did it go, what Dr. did this? I want details. LOL.....

Thank all of you so much for your answers! now, I am again thinking strongly of having the band done. I was not sure if i was too old, and maybe have more problems with it. But, yous have all assured me it can be good. And. Debi, I had that test you are going to have done twice, and both times things were good, I will pray your will be also.....Mattie

Hi all, I am new here, researching to see if the lap-band surgery is for me. Wondering if I am maybe too old, if having it done at this age would create more complications than a younger person. Anyone know?
