  1. I'm hungry around then too but since my last fill, I'm really tight around that time and can only consume liquids and slider foods. Is that normal? I left a message for docs office cause its been a few days since i could eat solid healthy foods without getting stuck or having pain in my chest.

  4. I'm 2 weeks out from surgery today and am really looking forward to the mushy food stage so that I can have some real substanance. Can I eat some lentils or something else mushy @ an Indian restaurant? What do you think? Any advice on anything with some flavor that I can eat? I'm a spice addict and these two weeks on bland liquids have killed me!

  6. wow- i hope this kind of pain doesn't last for 1 to 2 months. I'm going back to work on Tuesday and it would be absolute hell to get up from my chair ten times a day feeling like this! I think it's starting to feel a little less intense already. I'll keep everyone else who is going through the pain in my thoughts. This wasn't as easy of a procedure as I was led to believe. I guess everyone is different though. Everyone keep your head up
  7. My doc says if you aren't hungry , dont feel obligated to eat. This is day two post op for me and I had less than 1 cup of soup all day. I'm worried about not getting enough water and protein.
  8. I had mine the same day and also had a hernia that I didn't know about. Most of my pain is nears port and it's very tough getting in and out of bed. Are you experiencing that?
  9. I was banded using the spider procedure which means that I have one tiny incision and another that's about 2 inches long. I don't seem to be having any pain at those sites but it feels terrible where I think my port is located. Is this normal? The pain is during deep breaths but mostly when getting in and out of bed. Is it bc the sewed the port to muscle. Please help. Ps I also had a hiatal hernia fixed.
  10. I just found out that they are planning on doing my surgery as a spider! I'm super excited.
  11. Just wanted to say hi to everyone! I'm new & getting banded in 10 days
  12. Hi Eileen, I'n not on the board as much as I'd like. You can email me at wilsonrae21@yahoo.com and I'll give you my phone number if you're into texting!
  13. I had 4 months of nutrition classes, I think that's the fast track plan.
  14. My surgery has been approved. I have lost 8 pounds since Tuesday on pre-op diet and I'm scheduled for the surgery on 11/22. My pre-op tests are done, I have one final weigh in appointment on 11/18. what I'd like to know from everyone is, are you able to sleep in your bed or do you find yourself sleeping in a recliner or something? I don't have one, but my friend has one she said that she'd let me borrow. I didn't know if it would be worth the trouble. Any thoughts? Also- how do i add the weight loss ticker??
  15. So excited. So the date is set, Nov 22nd and I'm on my 3rd day or pre-op. Woot Woot
  16. Muscle Milk Shake AM - 130 calories Muscle Milk Shake Noon- 130 calories Lean meat 4 ounces 100-200 calories unlimited green veggies 50-100 calories Jello- unlimited- usually 10 calories Broths - unlimited- usually around 30 calories I guess that's around 600 calories if I use all the high ends. That's the doc pre-op diet, yes. 3 weeks. I am light headed a bit and just mostly tired. I'm not sure if I feel like walking but I wanted to give it a shot.
  17. I started my pre-op diet yesterday. The entire thing consists of about 500 calories. I'm 355 pounds- is ok to take walks around the neighborhood or am I eating too little for that??
