Spider Lap Band Surgery

Has anyone had the Spider Surgery? I'm having trouble lining up my insurance with a facility that has the tool that is a Bariatric Center of Excellencecertification. Is it worth the wait ?

It is the type of surgical instrument used. You only have one incision in the belly button, instead of 4 or 5.

Try searching the forum for SILS. I think I have hears it referred to as either that acronym or "single incision laparoscopic surgery".

I just found out that they are planning on doing my surgery as a spider! I'm super excited.

I had SILS. It really depends if you want to have 4 or 5 small incisions or one giant one. Other than that I don't think there's really any difference.
