  1. Kitchen scale wise, ozera and eatsmart are both accurate and cheap.
  2. I would think the sashimi would be okay, but watch out for the rice. I hear it can be very filling.
  3. I think you can do it, just listen to the awesome suggestions from your surgeon and this site!
  4. Aw, that is so sweet. I have always hated potlucks for that very reason.
  5. Congrats! It is perfectly normal to feel nervous.
  6. There are so many factors about skin. Everyone is different. You won't know until you are there. I can tell you right now that at 21 years old, I will have loose skin. I have so many stretch marks from over the years of yo-yoing, my skin is not really that elastic. Age isn't everything, but I wouldn't trade fat rolls for loose skin any day of the week.
  7. I am so excited for you, and so happy to have been able to have watched your journey! Congrats!
  8. So far on mirena, I haven't had any problems with losing weight. But if you really don't wanna worry about the hormones, I would say paraguard.
  9. So excited for everyone here on this thread! Good luck!
  10. Aw, that is so awesome! Congrats.
  11. I was sleeved 12 days ago. At the beginning of the 6MWLS, I weighed 257 lbs, and with the pre-op diet and surgery.... I have lost 41.8 lbs. I am so happy to finally be losing the weight again. I do not regret this surgery. Only that, I ruined my body with my excessive weight before I got it. My stretch marks are pretty bad. I am hoping time will allow them to fade a little, but I am not hopeful.
  12. I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose my sister (who is also my best friend). I will be following your journey and keeping you in my thoughts as you tackle taking care of yourself. I know how hard that will be, but I wish you the best. Good luck!
  13. Wow, you've lost over half your body weight. Congrats on such an amazing transformation!
  14. Good thread. I have learned a lot from this. Thank you!
  15. You look smoking! Congrats,l ady!
  16. According to my surgeon's plan, that would be the stage I could begin to eat a regular diet. However, carbs give me really bad munchies, so that would be something I would avoid. And most of the veteran's on this site recommend low carbing it to goal.
  17. Honestly, it would be hell, in my opinion, but you could get through it. But definitely listen to your body and don't over tax yourself.
  18. That's awesome. I agree, sometimes it is the little things that make this completely worth while.
  19. That's awesome! Congrats! Welcome to the forum. It is a great place, and we are happy to have you.
  20. You look happy and healthy! Congrats.
  21. Aw, I am so sorry your date got pushed back, but I am at least happy to hear you will be bringing your awesomeness to the October forum. Good luck, lady!
  22. That's awesome, Em! Great NSV. Those bones keep showing up everywhere. It might be an epidemic!
