  1. For me I am ready to move forward with my life. this weight is doing nothing but holding me back. I am ready to loss some weight and never look back. I have high blood pressure and PCOS. In the future i want to be able to have kids. I do not want to be in a position where i am putting myself or my baby in any risk. My family history is gray and i wam ready to change the pattern. With the lapband I know i will be able to move forward with my life. I am tired of the Yo Yo diets. This band is like a key to my future!
  2. I also have atena depending on your plan they cover it. My PCP was awesome i went in for a visit he said i was young enough to do it and he would support me in anyway possible. I finally got my surgery date today and it feels great. It is a long road but i know in the end it will be worth it! Good luck. make sure you figure out what is best for you!
  3. 11-14-11!!! Cant Wait!!! Seems like so away but it gives me more time to get things together for surgery so after i can relax and heal!! Good luck to everyone!!
  4. I am also getting banding in November 14th. So we are three days apart. I am also nervous but in a good way. I am nervous for the surgery part but excited about the results!!! People are so rude. Don't worry about them you will probably and hopefully never have deal with that lady again!!!
  5. Congrats!!!!! That is great news! you must be so excited.l Cant wait to get to that day!
  6. HI Stephanie, Welcome. I am also fairly new. I am working on all of my pre-op doctor consults! Cant wait to finally have a surgury date! This forum is awesome everyone here is so helpful. good luck on your journey!
  7. That seems crazy they would want a pap smear. I didnt think that those two things had anything to do with each other.
  8. My Surgeron told me to go to a nutritionist. I need to go to a min of 3 over a 90 period with my insurance. My nutritionist just told me to follow weight watchers which i have been on since July 1st.
  9. congrats!! How long did the insurance approval take? Just wondering. found out today that i cant get my endoscopy until October 26th. I am a little disappointed because i was hoping to be approved by then and have an early November surgery date.
  10. I am with you. I went to my counseling session and feel like i have learned nothing. Pretty much i was told to follow weight watchers. I am not sure what the point is. if it was so easy to just follow weight watchers i wouldn't be looking to have surgery!
  11. I just went for my first consultation and the surgeon did a presentation. I am with you and would have felt disappointed. I would probably be looking for another surgeon.
  12. Good luck with everything! I have 2 more appointments to go and hopefully an approval coming my way. Good luck on this journey!!!
