I'm from Atlantic city nj and Dr. Samir Patel is doing my surgery on December 12th. I would like to go to Atlancticares meetings but there hours are not on my time which I think is horrible. So I'm trying to find something else

My dr. Put me on a low sodium low carb diet and i dont feel that im shrinking my liver enough so i put myself on a liquid diet during the day and only having tuna salmon or chicken for dinner and still am not dropping as much weight as i would like. I think im overthinking this whole pre op thing because my liver was enormously enlarged and caused me a lot of complications with my gall bladder removal... i get banded december 12th and i cant wait. How are u all doing with ur pre op diet? CONGRATS TO ALL GOOD LUCK

I am getting banded December 12th

i started my diet monday my dr told me i was able to eat chicken and fish, but im thinking about just doing protein shakes, juice and water diet do u guys think that is safe? i havent lost that much weight and i really want to shrink my liver because it was the root complications with my gallbladder removal.

i was on nov bandster too but removed myself since my complications, but i am excited to get everything going and started. Good luck to u too i cant wait!

Hi my name is celeste and my date was nov 17th but i had to get my galldladder taken out first then had some complications, but im all better now and ready to get banded on dec 12th. im starting my pre-op diet and m so excited but idk if m dieting right cuz i havent lost weight??? but i have started healthy eating...idk lol maybe its too soon.... anyway GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF U

I just had my gallbladder removed Thursday but because of a very enlarged liver I had to get 5 incisions instead of 4. Saturday night I was admitted into the hospital w a possible leak.Sunday morning emergency surgery to have a stent put in. M due to get banded November 17 but m kinda nervous after all of this and the pain SHOULD I GET REOPENED AND GET BANDED??? WOULD YOU???
