1. CONGRATS LAUREND!! I am soo excited for you. YAY!!! Whoo hoo!
2. oooh.. Thank you soo much, Ragdoll & Wasabubble!!!
3. I just called my insurance company........... and I've been approved!!!! I'll be having my surgery on May 16!! I am so excited, I am jumping up and down as we speak!!!!!! ....and congrats on meeting your goal, Faith!
4. It's actually a mini gastric bypass that she's comparing it to... I guess that's different from RNY. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eo82IT1FlFc]YouTube - Failed Band Patient Converted to MGB[/ame]
5. I'm due to have my surgery in 3 weeks (pending insurance approval)... I've been feverishy researching every morsel of information I can find on the band.... I came across this video of a girl who had the lap band, and was unsuccessful. She is at the doctor's office on the day of her gastric bypass, and has some pretty negative things to say about the band. I am curious about what you guys who've ALREADY been banded, think about what she has to say. ...... 6. Thanks Sonia for the info! I think cancelling the Fluidity bar was a good call, it was overpriced anyhow.
7. Hey Thanks, Drew's Lou... and Faith.. it doesn't matter WHAT the motivation was.. you still rocked it, girl :-) Way to go... So, did you make it to your goal, 335?? I still totally cannot get how someone can tell someone that they are too big for weight loss surgery... That's like saying your cholesterol is too high to be treated. Duh.
8. thank you.. You must be totally waiting by the phone with anticipation!! I'd have called the scheduling nurse a million times already!!
9. Eeeks... I'm so much more excited than I thought I would be... I am anticipating this SOO much... My doc just told me she submitted my case to the insurance company... and if I get approved, my date would be May 16th... However, she did mention that I shouldn't completely count on it, because they often get rejections on the first submission... but almost ALWAYS get approved the second time. YAY!!! :clap2: :clap2:
10. You look AWESOME!!! By the way... you did go with the GREEN one, right?
11. Like that?? Thanks alot Mischevious... that wasn't too hard... Thank you!!!
12. What about the acti-trainer?? It appears to do the same thing... (and more, check out the sleep section)... for a much lower price ($199 including 1 month free membership).... But is it as good?? Anyone hear anything good/bad about it? Here's the website: http://www.actitrainer.com/default.asp?Movie=home.swf
13. I soo want to get one (I asked for one for mother's day)... but I'm kind of a cheapskate... that $199 for 3 months is what's 'bugg'ing me (hehehe). I am, however, completely motivated by puddin's success.. argghh. What to do, what to do??? Hey, can anyone tell me how to quote in a reply?? I never learned that. Thanks
14. Yeh, I LOVE free cycle... I'm an addict (to that amongst many other things :-) Our yard looks like the Little Tikes village from all the climbers, slides and playhouses that we got when other people's kids out grew them. Great suggestion, zannie.
15. Zanie.. Thanks for you advice about the total Gym. That's exactly what my husband suggested... I'm pretty sure it would fit, we have a 'home gym' in the basement that we can squeeze it into (even if it means getting rid of some of the kids play area :-). I think I will be ordering it, I have to get myself into some sort of fitness routine now so that I don't bellyache about it post-op. (I'm tentatively looking at a June 13th surgery date)... Everyone talks about how increasing muscle will increase metabolism, so I'm stoked :-) Can anyone suggest one piece of good exercise equipment for home use? I live in a 2nd flr apt,so have to be considerate of neighbors.I have purchase so many tapes from those darn infomercial and found them to hard to use.thinking about the treadmill but wondering which one ? BTW I am not a person who likes exercise :S Valintine- I would recommend an elliptical because it's super quite, and can be a full body work out. It's also simple to use. I would recommend that you get the best one you can possibly afford because quality varies greatly by model, and you're less likely to use a rickety/wobbly peice of equipment as regularly as you are a good sturdy machine. Everyone's different though.. good luck.
16. YAY YAY YAY!!! You look amazing. Congratulations!!!!!
17. You will fit comfortably.. there's also a website designed for larger guests.. (I believe it's called "Disney at Large".. google it)... I'm sure you'll fit, but the site is really good to double check. Have a GREAT time!
18. I thought the fee was $199 as well.... I think on the website it says the bugg is like $399 or $199 for the program only.. maybe I'm wrong though. You might want to just double check the website (www.bodybugg.com) before you buy from Ebay.
19. I totally want to know how the Fluidity bar is.. Let me know when you get it. .. It seemed a little expensive for what it was.. I"m going to see if my husband can mount a wall bar in the basement for me. I do think I'm going to get the total gym though... any one out there tried one of those? I want to get the Elite from QVC.. tomarrow is the last day for the low price though...
20.
Were you prescribed any type of antibiotic or pain medication post op. Sometimes our body can react to these medications after a week or so, especially if it is something you have not taken before. It could also be an ingredient in one of the liquid forms of medication you've been taking.

***FYI**** I posted my MySpace address on here a week or so ago.. (Actually, I added it to my signature, and also posted it here). Well, maybe it's just a total coincidence (Which it totally could be).. but I just wanted to let you know, that... two or three days after I posted my address here, someone sent me an emailled friend request, which appeared to be from MySpace (we've all gotten them)... so I clicked the link, logged in, and didn't see anybody by the name that was mentioned waiting to be added. I didn't think anything of it.. UNTIL yesterday, when I got an email from a friend of mine telling me that he had been getting comments and emails from me telling him about free Ipod promotions, porn sites, get rich quick schemes, and "I need to put $250,000 in your US account because my brother is a Nigerian Prince..." type emails. He said he new they weren't from me, (Even though they were coming from my account), but just thought I should know)... I was shocked to see that I had posted DOZENS of bogus bulletins, and left comments on my friend's pages promoting porn sites, bogus sweepstakes, etc... I have changed my password, and my security setting, and hopefully this solves the problem... But you might want to use caution when posting your home page... specifically if someone could easily get your email address... And, you might want to log in by actually TYPING "myspace.com" in the navigation bar, instead of clicking any links... Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.
22. Alex... you've been paying for this site out of pocket??? Big smooches to you!! Thank you, thank you.... Sorry for bi#$hing about my journals.
