I posted my MySpace address on here a week or so ago.. (Actually, I added it to my signature, and also posted it here). Well, maybe it's just a total coincidence (Which it totally could be).. but I just wanted to let you know, that... two or three days after I posted my address here, someone sent me an emailled friend request, which appeared to be from MySpace (we've all gotten them)... so I clicked the link, logged in, and didn't see anybody by the name that was mentioned waiting to be added. I didn't think anything of it.. UNTIL yesterday, when I got an email from a friend of mine telling me that he had been getting comments and emails from me telling him about free Ipod promotions, porn sites, get rich quick schemes, and "I need to put $250,000 in your US account because my brother is a Nigerian Prince..." type emails. He said he new they weren't from me, (Even though they were coming from my account), but just thought I should know)... I was shocked to see that I had posted DOZENS of bogus bulletins, and left comments on my friend's pages promoting porn sites, bogus sweepstakes, etc...

I have changed my password, and my security setting, and hopefully this solves the problem... But you might want to use caution when posting your home page... specifically if someone could easily get your email address... And, you might want to log in by actually TYPING "myspace.com" in the navigation bar, instead of clicking any links...

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

Thanks, I never get emails when I get friend request. I set it up so that myspace does not email me. I just check my request when I log in. And I NEVER click a link from an email that will require me to log in. ~Mandy
