Well, I will have my last “6 month” dietician visit on December 1st, and then the wait begins for insurance approval. I hope that my insurance will respond with a speedy approval, this is has been a long wait! :Banane55:

If so, how do you do it? I have BCBSMI PPO ford retiree and when I talked to the ins rep the other day, she went so fast through everything and now I'm confused on some parts. The rep said she would send the written part on my insurance for bariatric surgery through the mail. Said it would take 7-10 days to receive. Help!

Hello, not a vitamin reply, I was curious to know how you are feeling, I actually visited with Dr. Nick back in May 2010 (at the time I was interested in the Lap band but no longer, now I am seeking the sleeve). I am seeing Dr. Castro, I hear great things about both of these doctors, and I hope that you are feeling well.

OMG Sarah, your words and thoughts are on point to exactly how I feel and think! I too, just started my 6 month weight loss appointments. I would hate to have to go through all of the "steps" and in the end not be approved by my insurance (BSBS of MI). My BMI is where is needs to be, within the BCBS of MI guidelines, so I am thinking that I will not have an issue, but you never can tell. I hope to be sleeved by Dr. Castro in Dallas, TX, I have heard wonderful things about him! I hope that the time goes by quickly as I am not a very patient person by nature.
