  1. You're a little confused. Just saying...
  2. Due to disinterest in eating and trouble that I'm having with nausea when taking Vitamins and consuming Protein shakes and bars, I'm pretty positive that I'm suffering from malnutrition and starvation. I'm really worried. I ended up with extreme diarrhea last night and it continues today. I've lost 2 lbs since it started and I can't seem to keep up with replacing the Water that I'm losing. I tried One A Day VitaCraves yesterday for the first time and I finally didn't get extremely nauseous. I don't think they're complete enough for the long term, but they're good enough for now so I'm happy that I found them. I'm just really scared. I had a hard time even moving from my bedroom to the living room today. I don't like feeling this way. I'll be calling my doctor tomorrow to work on this, but I'm just so afraid right now.
  3. I just went out for sushi last week with my husband. I was only able to eat 1 and a half pieces from the roll that I ordered, but it didn't get stuck or make me feel bad or anything. I just chew chew chewed until i felt safe to go ahead and swallow and it was fine. I ate another piece that night, picked apart another two pieces the next morning and threw the rest out. I had surgery 2 months ago tomorrow.
  4. I feel sexiest when I'm singing. I can see the changes that come over people's faces when I'm performing and it's really cool.
  5. After a little Google-fu, I think it may have something to do with my hormones. I'm going to make an appointment with the doctor. I'm supposed to be on HRT anyway, so maybe it will help.
  6. I almost bought some protein bars at Costco today. They weren't the Pure Protein ones, even though they had those. It was a brand called Premier Nutrition that just has PROTEIN in huge letters on the front of the package. 30g of protein per bar. What kind do you use?
  7. It seems that since I've been sleeved, any time I'm standing for a short period of time I become extremely overheated and begin to sweat profusely. I've always been quick to sweat, but this is ridiculous. It happens regardless of the actual temperature and it happens even though I'm not exerting myself. Just now it happened while I changed the ink in my printer. I had to go get a paper towel to mop my face and I sat down to cool down. I had an audition for a jazz band last week, and while I was standing there singing I began to drip with sweat. It was humiliating. I passed it off as nerves, and I got hired as the lead singer. Now I'm worried that I'll have to quit because of this sweating issue. Does it ever stop? Does anyone know what could be causing it? Am I the only one? I'm so frustrated. It only happens when I'm standing. Not when I'm sitting or even when I'm walking it seems. I'm 31 years old. I haven't ever menstruated due to defective ovaries, so it isn't early onset menopause. Help?
  8. I drove to 3 different 7-11s a couple of weeks ago looking for a sugar-free Slurpee. The machine was broken at two of the stores, only the sugar-free tap mind you, and not ready to be poured at the 3rd. I took it as a sign that a Slurpee wasn't in the cards for me. I still haven't had one, but I don't want it anymore.
  9. Yummmm. One of my favorite pre-surgery meals was whole wheat toast topped with avocado, sliced tomato, olive oil, salt and pepper. I'll have to grill the tomato now and ditch the bread! I didn't even think of doing that before.
  10. Thank you! Now if I can just keep the loss moving.
  11. Thank you for asking this question! I'm glad it's not just me. I can smell everything more than I used to and it seems like I smell funny all the time. Not just there, but everywhere. I shower daily, but I feel like I should start showering twice a day. I'm not used to this!
  12. I've felt like this many times since surgery, but it was the worst in my earliest weeks. I believe that it's due to lack of calories, carbs, and not enough fluids. I chalk it up to the calories most of all because it's the same way that I used to feel in the early stages of a VLC liquid diet that I did a couple of years ago. I was getting 64+ oz of Fluid at the time, but I was only taking in 400 cals or less. I almost fainted a couple of times. When I get like that these days, I try to eat something Protein rich like tuna or eggs but I up the calories and protein with cheese. I imagine that you're only on full liquids right now, so I'd suggest that you make sure to find a good Protein powder and get your full amount of recommended protein. Don't worry about counting calories, you can't get enough in for them to matter anyway. I would also suggest drinking regular Gatorade because of the calorie and carb content. I felt much better when I switched from G2 to regular Gatorade for a week. Last, I'd suggest that you contact your NUT and explain the situation and ask for suggestions. I went to the hospital after I nearly passed out about 1.5 weeks after my sleeve surgery. They fed me apple juice and cranberry juice cocktail to get my energy up since I was on clears and couldn't eat.
  13. You've come so far and you look amazing! Thanks for sharing your tips with us. Especially newer sleevers like me.
  14. You look so healthy. I'm glad things are going well for you and tater tot.
  15. I've set my goal weight the same way that you have. My current tentative goal is 150 because I think it would be easily maintained and it's about what the doctors suggested for me. My next goal is 140-145 because the last time that I felt good about my body I weighed only about that and I would still be in a healthy BMI range. My ultimate potential goal is 135 since that's the weight that I was when I last felt like my body was amazing. I was a lot younger at the time though, and I was working out twice a day. I don't think I would be able to maintain that weight, and at 5'8.5" I think I would actually look a little too thin at that weight. We'll see how I feel when I get to 150.
  16. I can't wait until I can wear a medium! Congratulations!!!
  17. You start with your LBD picture first. Hanging the goal clothes where you can see them is encouraging!
  18. Thanks! I look forward to shopping for a new LBD!
  19. I have this killer LBD. I've had it for a while, but I've only worn it out once. It's made of a thick stretchy fabric, and I love the way it hugs my hips and bottom and comes in at the waist. It's the ultimate hourglass shape. The only thing I don't like is the way it clings to my stomach. When I wore it out before, I put something on over the dress to cover my tummy, but that pretty much defeated the purpose of the dress. I decided that I would wear the dress again only after I'd lost a little weight and my stomach wasn't trying so hard to be the star of the show. Fast forward to just a few minutes ago. I went to my closet to try the dress on. I keep it on the hanger nearest the closet door, and when I walk in it's the first article of clothing that I see. It taunts me hanging there all smug, waiting for the body I wish I had. I took it off the hanger, stepped into the dress, tugged up the zipper, and looked at myself in the mirror. It still doesn't fit! All of this work and the stupid dress doesn't fit. It's too big. How's that for an NSV? My little black dress doesn't seem so little anymore!
  20. Here's the link to the download site for the Chrome plug-in. It doesn't come with your browser. You have to download it. It's easy peasy. http://adblockplus.org/en/chrome
  21. It's normal. I'm on regular food and I'm still not back to a normal poo schedule. Just make sure that you're using a Fiber supplement like a couple of scoops of Benefiber in the things that you drink (it really helps), and make sure you get as close to 64 oz of fluids (or more!) as you can.
