  1. My doctor is big into the Nutrilite Vitamins. What brand of vitamin do you take and what type. Thanks !
  2. Thanks for the guidance First day of mushies were a success !
  3. I think this could be one of the most important unanswered questions. During liquid stage - drink liquid = easy. During real food - more than 1 cup, 4 oz, etc. But what about Mushies?? Someone? Anyone? Thanks !
  4. Lost 10 pounds on 2 week pre-op diet. Banded on 7/21 As of today - 12 - days post op - lost another 10 lbs. While I am eating almost nothing (!!) the scale has stopped moving ... need to get to mushies !
  5. I start Mushies tomorrow and can't get a hold of my nutritionist - maybe someone can help me ... During Mushies - how much (or little) should I be eating? 2oz at a 'meal' ?? 1/2 cup at a 'meal' ?? I haven't been all that hungry during the liquid phase and the scale has all but stopped (body going into starvation, I think) - so i definitely want to get moving back to food. My pre-op diet was shakes - and don't go over 1000 cals in a day. Since I have little to no restriction - I am not sure if the 'eat until you are full' rule applies ... but I don't what what rules apply ! Any input would be appreciated !

  7. Ok, I think I need to leave this section of the boards I'm still on liquids and this sounds divine ! Thanks for sharing !
  8. Please tell me that you are you eating this as a mushie? Chix salad is the first thing I'm going to eat (when I can eat). Can't wait !
  9. Thanks for the tip ... there's a place semi by work ... but since I don't even want to go in that direction .. this treat will have to wait ( but that's ok) - thanks again for the scoop (pun intended).
  10. I'm right there with you Razzcat - each day I get remarkably better ... still moving slow but I'm moving, sipping, resting, etc.
  11. I'm still in a little bit of a haze - i can't remember if I have posted here yet .... Had surgery on Thursday and spent the night (all three of my surgeon's patients did). I was on clear liquid on Friday (date of discharge) but that meant protein shakes, clear broth, popsickles and water. Have taken things super slow - walked everyday (5000 steps on my pedometer), napped, sipped water, etc. While I was having some gas problems - they have mostly subsided. No shoulder pain whatsoever. Started having tomato soup yesterday. Had some today too. Looking forward to seeing the doc on Friday and hoping that the staples come out. I will say this - there is no way I would have been able to go back to work quickly (also had a hernia repair). Like I said - I've been super slow with everything. Sorry if I've already told my story.
  12. April - I so see this in my future - the fear !! Glad it well for you but geez 1/8th of a cup is practically liquids ... good luck (to both of us)
  13. I'm newly banded and I would say - be happy with the drop in cloths sizes. The scale will eventually follow
  14. I'm 5 days post op and I will say that (for me) it wasn't so much painful ... just an annoyance that something is sore in my stomach area .... I've followed all of the post op rules (slow sipping water, deep breathing exercises, walking) and I feel pretty good
