  1. @raeraerae sorry for postponements of WLS. great attitude! good for you turning a bad situation into good!!☺️ losing 50 lbs pre-op. Way to go. with your determination, you will continue on the road to success! No stopping you now! keep up the good work. kathy congrats
  2. @April Marie sorry bud, total bummer? surgery hopefully will be sooner than later. even though surgery is postponed, don't go on an eating binge!! you don't want to gain before WLS, than have to loose more. good luck kathy
  3. i get mad/argue with my daughter at times - i will try and work on that issue. "Do or Do Not, There is No Try!" kathy
  4. @Danny Paul moral of story newbies do not buy good/expensive clothes while you are losing weight, as time passes (quickly) the clothes will become big on you. Many OP buy clothes from a thrift shop as they are losing weight. kathy
  5. I knew someone from work that had WLS. he told me his experiences. Also, i kept seeing commercials on TV. Man & women, walking off in the sunset, hand in hand saying how happy they were since WLS? kathy
  6. @Healthy_life same with my doc - he told me to watch what i eat. (like i didn't know that!!) i guess its not really his responsibility to suggest the surgery, but it sure would have been nice. One day. at an appt., i asked his opinion about WLS, he said that i would be a great candidate. Good idea!! hmm, wish he had suggested before. Least there was one smart cookie in the office!!? kathy
  7. @mousecat88 i'm so sorry you continue with your situation? liquids for a couple of weeks - again!! wouln't wish that on my worst enemy looks like you are doing everything right. seeing, consulting w/dr i cannot/shouldn't offer you any medical opinion all i have to give you is my shoulder to cry on (tissues included) take care bud Kathy
  8. @amy6152 your smile says it all? you are doing great keep up the good job for the rest of your healthier, happier, longer life!! kathy congrats
  9. welcome welcome welcome nice to meet you - you are a sight for sore eyes!!☺️ glad you are joining our "small" group. we are getting "smaller" by the day!! being a VET, share your experiences/give some newbies et al some of your words of wisdom take care kathy congrats
  10. @DelawareWoman hmmmm, never heard that one!! (could you have misunderstood) my dr. told me pre-op - to lose 5% of my weight insurance wanted to make sure i COULD lose weight I have to do two weeks of something called a Robard Diet. shakes and Meal Replacement bars and Soups if you eat food above for two (2) weeks, i can't imagine you not losing any weight. i have heard/seen OP on board have out-patient procedure - they go home the same day depends on the doc - if you feel like you need to spend the night due to pain, talk to your doc - also make sure ins. will cover good luck kathy
  11. @Separ1418 this is a question that has plagued the world for centuries!!? after losing a lot of weight, i get it that "you" have less body fat, thus causing you to be cold some OP as little as 2 weeks PO say they are cold, i don't get it, understand?? (most have have not lost a lot of weight yet) @Separ1418 great weight loss - 70 lbs!! btw 105 lb weight loss here - never cold due to WLS bundle up keep up the good work kathy
  12. @Jobber that really sucks!! DH luckily gets a nice cash bonus yearly, asked daughter what my son-in-law got, she told me the same thing for the past 20 years!! A big ham!! - (food, not the person!!)? kathy
  13. @mousecat88 you both look great!! don't know which one of you is cuter?? doesn't matter, luv you both? keep up the good work kathy
  14. @patanna unless NUT told you differently, drinking is drinking, you will never have to wait between drinking. (shakes inc.) don't look for trouble? - you are doing fine. you are doing great with intake of water . Try and get more protein is always advised!! - otherwise terrific weight loss - keep up the good work good luck kathy
  15. hey dude you are aces wild ride that keeps going and going and going and .... like the energizer bunny☺️ keep up the great job for the rest of your healthier, happier,. longer life kathy congrats
  16. @mousecat88 yes, i believe that if you don't lose any weight for 3 weeks+, that is considered a stall. some OP might say they haven't lost any weight for (1) one week, (2) weeks - not a stall. there is the dreaded common stall at 3 week stalls happen to most OP - very common,- this too will pass☺️ keep up the good work while your weight goes down!! @AJP your 2 lbs up and down - is not considered a stall - bad luck, but not a stall!!? kathy
  17. @Krista27 Believe it - it's true!! 99 lbs is terrific☺️ keep up the good work kathy congrats

  24. @CarmenP as always - everyone is different with their healing/pain I always had a double chin/neck - i finally said to myself " i am worth it" (having the surgery) i didn't do as much research as i probably should have.i talked to my bariatric center, they recommended the dr. they only heard good things. I discussed surgery with him, done deal!! and PS told me that i would get a little face lift too, since the skin goes up with the neck. PO in recovery room was terrible - my face was realllly hurting!! I had 2 drains, low each side of my face (about 2 weeks) semi-pain lasted around one week. Very pleased with neck lift - ummmm - not much improvement with face, can only do so much with what they have to work with LOL? good luck kathy
