  1. one more thing, I also enjoy a cup of tea in the morning. I use peach and raspberry flavor. sometimes green tea. I add ice to my juice. STILL, as you mentoned, Water is my best clear liquid drink. Best wishes to you.
  2. I know exactly what you are talking about. but I have an idea for the apple and pineapple juice. first they have to be sugar free. then I usually put 1/4 of a cup juice then continue with water, so it is diluted. what about soups? . my doctor put me on clear liquid diet for one month:(( I am losing but I am so fed up. anyway only 10 days to go. 20 days are over already. I know I don't want to mess with the staple line. but I will try JELLO tonight. I loved SF popsicles though. may be try a different flavor. I know everybody is different. my doctor also did not mention anything about Protein shakes in the first month and when I asked him, he said NO protein shakes at this phase. he said are you trying to gain weight??. He said after 30 days I can think of taking one Protein shake daily.
  3. thanks so much for all your great advice. so I will go for a walk and clean my closet. love you all tons.
  4. I am depressed cuz I miss food so much. it provided so much comfort. now it is painful even to drink and disgusting to keep hearing this gurgling sound all the time. also my sexual drive is way increasing and I am still the same single girl which is not nice feeling by any means. I am sorry for mentioning this. I dont mean to sabotage anyone but after surgery is not that easy.
  5. I don't have enough info about total knee replacement recovery but my two uncles went through this and they are fine. I don't remember hearing there was much trouble. I wish you too a speedy and smooth recovery. my best wishes and prayers for you.
  6. but you lost 83 pounds?? isn't that great??
  7. Angel, first thanks for replying my post. can u give me an advice for eggs? How do u prefer to eat them after the surgery. I Love eggs.
  8. Congratulations. it is normal to feel a bit nervous and excited. I wish you a speedy and smooth recovery. Take Care Plz.
  9. I would like to know what is the 5 day pouch test and when should it be performed? thanks all
  10. I urinate normally too. ofcourse less than before cuz I am struggling to get in my water. but if you don't, it can be a sign of inadequate water intake so drink more. I am afraid to get a gall stone so much.
  11. why stay away from cheese? it is a good protein source I think?
  12. when did you get your sleeve?
  13. I removed my stitches today too. they are healing nicely. the doctor prescribed for me an ointment called contractubex which will decrease scarring of the wounds. he said I have to take it for 3 months. I am doing better at drinking. I can almost drink normally. I drink sugar free stuff for sure. the thing is I have soups. I prefer water and juice. you know this clear liquid soup is very boring. I prefer cream chicken or cream mushroom soup but I am not allowed yet to move to full liquids so just patience. I went back to my work yesterday. my energy level is fine and I hardly feel any hunger which is strange. just a bit heart burn lately. I think this is expected..right?
  14. I would not call that diarrhea too. we are only taking liquids so liquids in liquids out. I am definitely fine with that. totally expected. what I really hate is constipation.
  15. readyto maintain: just checking upon you. How is it going? keep in touch.
  16. I don't know actually but from what I read over here, stalls do happen and they are expected. don't blame yourself for being on mushies. eventually we should all eat almost all kind of food but in small amounts. we can't stay on clear liquid diet forever for sure. may be the body needs time for adjustment. remember this is a major major change we are inflicting upon our bodies. don't expect it to submit immediately. it takes time but we will all lose eventually . be stubborn. keep your calories between 600-800 calories a day. and EXERCISE. we are all going through this . we will help each other listen to each other and God willings we will reach our goal weight.
  17. I think it might cost about 7000 US dollars as a total. I would be cautious with syria. In egypt only two doctors perform the sleeve with adequate experience. it is a serious operation. you dont want some doctor to use you to learn this sugery. I would not care about money at this point. some doctor here offered to perform this operation for me for free cuz he is in the learning process with only history of performing 7 sleeves. best of luck.
  18. I did my surgery in Cairo with an excellent professor called professor dr. Faheem El Bassiouny. he is my hero! if you need more details, you are welcome. best wishes.
  19. I am scared to look older. ok I will moisturize!
  20. readytomaintain. you know I am not hungry but at the same time I wish to be done with the first 6 weeks and proceed with having a normal life...eating just small portions. patience patience patience,,I am trying to distract myself...by work..intense shopping! and reading ..my doctor told me to drink 2 oz every 30 minutes...I don't do that..I can take more ,,just wait seconds between my sips,,is this ok?
  21. congratulationss, I am happy for you. I am only 8 days post operative. I really hope after 3 months my life will just change as yours. best wishes.
  22. I am 8th day post operative and I will return to work tomorrow. I did not even remove my stitches yet but I feel I am able to get back to work. also it will distract me and help me not to think about food all the time and stick to this liquid diet:(
  23. me too, I am sick of liquids! but patience as u said. I am not hungry just sick of soups. 165 would definitely look nice.
  24. I think the point right now is to not dehydrate and letting your tummy heal...THIS IS AN EXCELLENT AND VERY TRUE ADVICE.
