  1. congratulationsss:) Keep the good work up:) wishing you the very best of luck.
  2. yes you are right, I am almost 11 monthes out now and have the same feeling. I am not fighting head hunger as before. Still I need to lost 10 more pounds to feel perfect about myself. the losing rate is negligible now. may be I need to exercise and eat less but it is achievable. I just need to be patient. My relationship with food now is more or less normal. very little will fill me up. Thank god most gracious most merciful.
  3. I think only the abstract is available online. anyway, I have the full articles. I can email them to anyone interested.
  4. Sleeve gastrectomy as sole and definitive bariatri... [Obes Surg. 2010] - PubMed result Strategies for weight regain after sleeve gastrect... [surg Laparosc Endosc Percutan Tech. 2010] - PubMed result
  5. I have two interesting articles that I would like to share with you but they are PDF file and I don't know how to post them in here?? any ideas? One is about strategies of weight regain after VSG and the other is a very recent study 2010 ( 5 years follow up study for 26 VS patients ), the longest follow up study available in literature so far. Take care and keep up the good work:)
  6. congratulationsss but I can't imagine how small size 8 might be. is it UK 8 or 10? They are both petite anyway. can't wait to be there lovely:)
  7. Please send me your email. I have a very interesting article for you. It talks about the strategies of weight regain after sleeve gastrectomy. learn it by heart so that you will avoid any weight regain in the future. Best wishes.
  8. I did that but I wish I did not. That was too much pressure for the recent postoperative patient. you can do it sure.
  9. this is just inspiring. you look just amazing:) May Allah bless you and give you the very very best.
  10. Congratulationsssssssssss. I am so happy for me. 150 is my goal weight too:) I am 8 monthes out now and I am sick of the scale not moving. I am 160 lbs at the time being.
  11. congratulations Brittu for being sleeved and best of luck. you are right, I will seek the help of a local nutritionist may be to keep me on track.
  12. sorry guys, I was 248.6 exactly before operation Now I am 158-159 lbs.
  13. Hi all, I am 8 monthes out now. I lost a good amount of weight thank God. I went from 235 to 158. I still need to lose like 18-20 pounds to look perfect:) My concern is I am feeling much better now and I can accommodate more food especially the bad kind ( ...sliding... ) of food like ice cream, cheese cake, chocolate, potato chips, nuts...well, sure this is not a magic solution to obesity. I had a feeling I did not change. I am still thinking and trying to act like an obese person. These 8 monthes did not change me from inside. I still crave the same kind of food. anyone has an information about when ( I mean after how many monthes post-operative ) the stomach will stop stretching and will remain stable as regards its size?? I dont want to discourage anyone ..still, I think this is the best decision I have ever taken in my life but I'm just concerned its results would not last long enough?? I don't want to return to what I used to be. Have a lovely day everybody.
  14. which kind of foods are the enemy to the sleeve operation and will sabotage the restriction it inflicts upon our bodies? for me: it is Chocolate paste and Ice Cream. Thank God I am not an ice cream fan:)
  15. Trust me and your sleeve..It will just work! You are in too much hurry. You are only 7 weeks post-operative. I am 8 monthes out and I am still losing! and I do cheat sometimes... I am approaching my goal weight, only ten more pounds to lose although people say I look great that way but I want to lose ten more pounds cuz only then I shall feel perfect. I have been through all your doubts and desperation but looking back, I have to say that was all none sense. It will really work but some patience! we have not gained all these pounds over night. I assure you after one year from now, you will be a different person so cheer up:)
  16. yes thx for the advice. I believe I will get there but I am not following the rules. If I decrease carb intake to 30 gms, I will definitely lose weight. You are my inspiration. Keep up the good work and may you maintain this 123 pounds forever. you look so great..
  17. Tiffany..now that you are 11 monthes out, may I ask you if you are still losing weight? everyday I doubt that may be I won't lose any more. I am 7 monthes out now and still I need to lose like 20 more pounds and then I will be very satisfied. take Care my lovely inspiration.
  18. first month is the most difficult. you are on fluids only. it is expected to feel a bit dizzy that early out. you will feel better very soon and u will feel healthy and more energetic than you have ever been. I promise you will never regret doing this operation. instead u will thank God each day for giving you the chance to do it. stay strong
  19. wishing u a speedy recovery. this will be a turning point in your life. I promise u this.
  20. hi everybody, I miss u all. I was sleeved 29/10/2009. I lost so far 66 pounds. I need to lose 27.5 more pounds. I am almost five monthes out now. am i going to continue losing? can u tell me at which time after surgery your body stopped losing? I am not exercising regularly apart from walking like 30 minutes a day and may be more some days. I heard that you can still lose weight one year away from surgery. is this true? I feel much better already but I need to have a normal BMI and can't wait to see my dream coming true.
  21. thanks a lot. you are always such a great support
  22. buy the dress! I did that too. bought a couple of sexy jeans and can't wait to fit into them. I need to drop one size to be able to wear them. I shop all the time and try on clothes to learn about my progress, it is FUN!
  23. hi all my dear friends, I am very interested in finding paper about the long term results of VSG and comparing it with the RNY procedure. do people regain weight back? if yes, is it a small regain or can they return back to their presurgery weight? if anyone has an article to share, I will be grateful. best of luck to all you lovely ladies.
  24. I think yes . you can do it definitely. I lost 57 pounds in 3 monthes and half. I don't really exercise. if you exercise, you will get less stalls than I do.
