Dr. Kelly and his staff are AWESOME! (Am writing from the hotel in TJ)
WOW! I pray I do as well as you did! I have the same anxiety going on right now, but I haven't even left Texas yet. My surgery is on 09/02. Glad to see you are doing well.

$51,746 Forest Park Hospital Bill for 2 nights stay and NO COMPLICATIONS
I agree too, they complain that people without health insurance cause the problems, but so does over charging that sounds like Highway Robbery to me!

Need Support
Please don't feel alone that is the same thing I keep thinking. Lord just please let me wake up from surgery. I have a 3 year old and I just need to make it safe and sound there and back. Are you going with Julia to Dr. Kelly and you both are from Canada? She mentioned she was going with a friend.

What were your reasons?
I had my band removed in 2006, because it slipped twice and the fills were $100.00 every time and it would be to tight, so un-fill, then gain weight, fill again. ACID REFLUX too horrible to continue to live with, the second time it slipped I said take it out and I don't want a new one. I became pg in 07 gained the weight back and would never consider the band, I was miserable, skinny but freaking miserable. The sleeve sounds like a wonderful alternative. OH YEAH AND CAN'T WAIT UNTIL "Breaking Dawn" comes out in Nov! Twilight fan for sure!

You got it! What's you name? I feel the same way when I go on Sept. 2, to Dr. Kelly in TJ!- I can't win on this : (
Let me say this I had the lap band in 2002 to 2004 and it slipped twice so I had it removed in 2006. I was already used to running, exercising daily and eating healthy so I was able to maintain my 80lbs lost. Once I had got down to that smaller size I was so self conscious of my belly because my skin didn't tighten right back up. Then in 2007 I became pg and delivered a beautiful healthy boy in 01/25/08. Long story short I gained the 80lbs back and he is 3 now and I haven't lost any of it. I am over here waiting for my surgery date 09/02 and thinking the next time I get that small I am going to enjoy it and not worry about what any one thinks and feel good about it. I didn't get to enjoy it then because I was always worrying this time I am just going to LIVE!!!!! AND IF I have a small roll I will be happy with that instead of this tire I am carrying around. ENJOY LIFE NOW!- YAY!! I get to go homwe
wOW! You were sleeved yesterday and you are going home today? That's awesome I hope I am that lucky.- Got My Sleeve
Good for you, glad everything went well! On to the next Chapter.- NEW NAME? "Sleeved in Seattle"
Love the story, going to Dr. Kelly on Sept. 2 and feeling so good about this decision and more re-assured when I see people giving God the glory. Makes me feel like I am making the right decision. Especially when you said "if it offends you" that is so true. Thanks! Where was I? Oh yeah, my frantic prayer about bathroom issues! "Lord, you've got my back on this right?"- Patient died in Mexico, who was the doctor????
Good post ladies, thanks for the encouraging words. It's true if we let "fear of death" rule our world we wouldn't leave the house. God Bless!- Contacting Dr. Kelly's office
Well it does make me feel better that it is not a new occurence. Also you had your surgery and everything went as planned right.- Contacting Dr. Kelly's office
I know I have the same issue and I # my question's out the second time and that was Tuesday. I haven't heard back from her yet. My main concern is did she get the deposit. Hope things get a little easier the close I get to the date. I do agree she does seem distracted and I am sure she is busy, but if no one answer either of the numbers we have. Who do we call?- As I near the end of my Weight Loss Journey...
Good for you! That is why I am having the sleeve surgery because I don't want to worry about all the crazy diets anymore. Just live normal and eat very very little of the things I love. 2 THUMBS DOWN FOR DIETS!!!! Working out like you said is awesome and glad you will stay with it is so much fun and stress relieving. Good luck and God bless! I am so glad for you, it seems like you have found some peace with yourself. It's feels good when we finally learn to love ourselves again. WOW!!!! I bet that feels so good! Congratulations!- who's gone and had a good experience in mexico?
Hey Melissa! Notice your surger is tomorrow with Dr. Kelly. God bless. I am sure everything will go fine. My friend and I are scheduled with Dr. Kelly in September. We will look forward to your post. Take care, Laura- New to the Forum
Wow! You look fantastic! Very encouraging I want to be down that much weight. Thanks for the input!- New to the Forum
Hello everyone! I am new to this forum I am in the research stages of the Gastric Sleeve. I know that I really want to do it because I just can't manage to lose weight on my own. I definitely don't mind working out but it just feels like it is vain because I do not lose weight. All though I know it doesn't hurt because exercising is key to being healthy for more reasons than just losing weight. I am a mom of a 3 year old and I want to be able to play and have energy to go just like him. It just seems so scary to go to Mexico to have surgery, but my insurance does not cover weight-loss surgery. My friend and I are definitely going to have it done in Mexico. I just want all the information I can obtain about the best dr's out there. Thank you for your input in advance.- June 4th Mexico baby
Hello! I was just curious how your surgery went in Mexico? Did the area seem safe or was there any concerns?- Mexico Gastric Sleeve
Thank you for your response! The dr I am going to will pick you up and drop you off as well.- Mexico Gastric Sleeve
Awesome! Thank you for your reply.- Mexico Gastric Sleeve
I am interested in going to Tijuana to have Gastric Sleeve Surgery. Hopefully in August I am just more concerned about safety in the area more than the surgery. Does anyone have any input on this? Is it safe? I am looking at going to Bajanor Medical. - Your Prayers are Desired
