  1. Ouch. I just have steri-strips over mine. Or at least I think that is it. Maybe its the glue? Call your doc tormorrow and check with them, if you can do anything.
  2. Good luck tomorrow. Keep us posted.
  3. LOL Mythreechildren....its hard to ignore that pain sometimes. I find when I've been up moving, like taking my shower, getting dressed, the pain/pulling/burning starts. So I have to sit back down. It's really getting annoying. I feel I can't be up moving much at all and I thought by now I could do a little more. But I'll take it slow for a few more days and hope it gets better. I sent hubby to Walmart to get a blood pressure monitor. So I'm going to start checking it and go from there.
  4. Oh you can see a Huge difference. You are doing great. You look beautiful in your after pic.
  5. I had my surgery on Monday, July 11th. Today is my 6th day post op. As of this morning I'm down 7.1 lbs from my surgery weight. :cheer2: This morning I feel kinda blah First day I've felt that way. Kinda dizzy at times too. The first thing I did when I got up was start drinking my Protein shake. It was the ones from costco with 30 gms of protein. After over an hour I'm done with it. I've also already had 3 BM's this morning. So that is a good sign I guess. I just took my chewable multi Vitamin (yuck) and had a cup of decaf coffee with FF milk in it. :coffee: About to start my Water for the day now. I just haven't done much. Been catching up on my youtube vids and on here reading. When I get up and move around I just get that dizzy light headed icky feeling. But when I'm sitting I'm ok. Now that I think about it, do you think it could be my BP? Since I take BP meds, could it be making my BP too low? That would be awesome if I could stop taking that. Now even though I'm down to 205.4 this morning from 212.5 on Monday, I am not smaller. Usually at this weight I can really see it, especially in my clothes. I was getting to where my size 20's were lose and 18's were just fine. But since I'm still swollen I just don't see it. URGH! I know it will come....but when? When did the swelling go down after surgery? Another thing I'm ready for...is SHOPPING. I'm so ready to go to the thrift stores to get smaller sizez....LOL I know that will be awhile, but I'll have too soon. I don't have anything smaller than an 18 in my closet. I've been an 18/20 forever. Anyway, just wanted to see how everyone else was doing from surgery this past week. Oh and I'm still having to take my Lortab. Only twice yesterday and slept without it last night too. But once I got up, the pain was there when I stood up or walked. So took a dose this morning. I also have a new post op video up on my youtube channel. Oh and Nancy...I'm still hot. I think it's my hormones. Surgery must have screwed with them.
  6. LOL Nancy, just our luck. Oh well, hopefully as the weight comes off it will change for us.
  7. Well I'm the odd ball. Since surgery I've been hot. I was freezing my husband out in the hospital room.
  8. No pudding, no yogurt, no jello......if it doesn't flow through a strainer...no no no. Strick huh? I can have juices, and that has been a change. Just thought maybe I was missing something....thanks ladies for all your ideas.
  9. I wish I could have pureed foods....that sounds yummy :-(
  10. Ok I have a little more than 2 more weeks left on full liquids. Per my doc it has to go through a strainer. I need help. I'm tired of just Protein shakes, broth and cream of "whatever" Soup watered down. What did you eat? I would love any ideas. Thanks,
  11. You look awesome. Keep up the good work. How was the concert?
  12. Thanks everyone for your input. I can't wait until I can try yogurt again. I have to wait until 3 weeks post surgery. I hope I still like it. My nut said I could put some in my Protein drinks as long as its thinned out enough to go through a strainer, I might try one today to see if it will work or not.
  13. Kristie, did you change your screen name? I swear it was different yesterday or my mind is playing tricks on me. LOL
  14. LOL that is too funny. But just think, what if you had not thrown those clothes out....you might not have seen the surgery.......or had it. It was meant to be.
  15. Oh Nancy, I wish you could have gotten your meds filled by now. That would make you feel so much better. I would be miserable without my Lortab, especially at night. I was going to try and do without them today, but already had to take a dose. Have a horrible headache, and just feel blah. Didn't sleep well either. I miss my morning coffee time. Drinking a Protein shake now, but thinking of making a pot of coffee (decaf) to see if it makes me feel a little more normal, even if its just a cup or less I get down. Please go get your meds, may help you sleep better. Can you use cough drops for the coughing? I starting the dry cough last night, it hurts....didn't use cough drops, but might tonight if it continues. It's only when I lay down. Hugs to you.
  16. I used Dr. Nick Nicholson at Baylor Plano. He and his staff are wonderful and very informative. You can call or email them anytime and they will answer any of your questions.
  17. How would you eat it if your in the full liquid stage? We grew our own this year and hubby picked our first one last night. It will go bad before I get to the soft foods stage, so I want to eat a piece or our first one. Any ideas other than puree the juice?
  18. Kristie, Why not take her to one of the FREE seminars in your area. I know you don't plan on having your surgery there, but they won't know that. She will see first hand what a doctor has to say about it. Heck even go to a few different places to seminars. She is just scared for you and wants to understand it. Although my Mom was supportive, I could tell she was scared for me. But when I told her I took pictures with me to show her and info for her to read. She also got on the internet herself and looked at the info. Good Luck. I know how important it is to have your Mom on your side. It just makes things better.
  19. Do you think the back pain could be a kidney infection starting? I know your drinking fluids, but how much? Good luck, hope everything is ok. And that poor cheesecake........in the trash.....now what did it do to you? LOL OH yeah...it made us fat. Bad Cheesecake...BAD ! It got what it deserved.
  20. LOL I can just see you running around like a kid on a sugar high.
  21. Glad to hear your doing ok. Hope you got your ice chips and more today.
  22. No. It depends on the employer. Most employers can add stipulations to the plan. For instance our insurance is BCBS of Texas, with the TRS (Teachers). The TRS has put major stipulations on the new plan starting Sept. 1.
  23. Pammie, I'm doing pretty good. I love Dr. Nick's and his office staff. I see him in Plano, so I don't know Dr. Castro. Good Luck with your decision. I first went in for the band too, but the sleeve is for me. Glad I did it. Now just can't wait for the results.
