i went for my 4th fill yesterday,gained a whopping 20 lbs,that was 5lbs,each month..As of today im back on the diet,and noticed after drinking my protein shake,that it filled me up,only problem was after i drank it,i had shortness of breath,used a straw and swallowed alot of air,i could not stop belching.scary thing.Anyway..i need the luck,i got to get this extra weight off,as it is actually bothering my left knee.Thnaks all//

i was banded july 27,2011.i lost about 20lbs,and unfortunately,i put it all back on,i became hypoglycemic,which really scares me.I am on my 3rd fill,and have no problems with eating anything.This last week i have been having soreness,on my left side around the band,and when i rub the area,it feels kind of numb?i can not sleep on my right side,because the left side starts to hurt,but if i lay on my back or left side it is fine.The only thing i can think of is,last week i lifted about a 50lb bag of wood shavings,and i pulled something.could i have done something seriously wrong?I can not go back to see my lap band Dr. because,i have a co pay now,and i can not afford it.Any advice,on what could have happened.

I was a diabetic in Nov. for about 2 months,that is why i started to dit,by cutting out all carbs,i lost 20 lbs,and went back to the Dr. 2 months later and my numbers came back normal,that is what made me have the lap band,i was scared,i hated taking meds,and checking my blood 4 times a day.As of yesterday i have lost a total of 13 lbs in 2 weeks,and im so happy.Good Luck!! a grand total of 33lbs.

Once they put the mask on me.i was out,its like nothing ever happened.Its pretty fast.Good Luck!!!

i made sugar free/fat free chocolate pudding with skim milk,and mixed in some of my chocolate protein,it was delicious.

I have noticed that my Dr. is not wearing a wedding band,and he's attractive.lol.Just a dream.would be nice though..lol

Motrin is no good for you,they recommend Tylenol.I am 9 days post op and i am still sore on my left side,but it will get better,i thought i was going to have to live with it,but everyday the pain eases up.Good luck!!!

i have lost 8lbs..im so so happy,but im starving.Drinking lots of water.The protein fills me up for ,maybe 2 hours,then im starving again.I have a visit with my Lap Band Dr. Tue.Maybe he will tell me i can start eating the mushies...yummy..lol

Dr. has not called me to make an appt.As far as the gas pains go,i can deal with them.Now i just had the runs bad,i think everything i drank today,i just lost it all.The pain, im having is similar,if you have ever had bronchitis,you cough so much that your rib cage hurts,even just to clear my throat.I hope tomorrow is a better day.I have to go see my Regular Dr. tomorrow,for my monthly meds,im going to ask him to listen to my lungs and see if they are clear.

Tomorrow will be a week,and am still sore on my left side,because,of it i could not sleep well last night,woke up with a headache,when will the soreness go away.sorry for the typos,really bad day today.

My sister is just like your husband.not supportive at all.I just hope i can prove her wrong,and do well with this..Good Luck..

Suffering from panic disorder,and dealing with the outcome of being banded scares me.im so scared that down the road,if i have complications.vomiting, etc.Its on my mind all the time.Does anyone else have panic disorder.The only way i was able to go through with the surgery,was xanax.If it was not for that,there was no way,i would have walked into the hospital for the procedure.

I could go without eating anything all day,its at night when im laying in bed,is when my stomach growls,but im so thankful,it does not last long.

I was banded at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern N.Y.

I had a slice of boars head liverwurst.it was so so good.5 days post op.Would it hurt me to have a scrambled egg in the am?

Thats what i thought,the diaphragm,because,it hurts when i cough,sort of like when i had bronchitits,your lungs hurt from all the coughing.Thank god i did not have the shoulder pain,but i do get gassy after i drink lots of Water,moving around does help.
