i wish i was getting band next week haha..its normal to b scared..the unknown is frightening..but dont worry ull b fine..!!!

i hope i dont have appetite once i get band..but u said its a yr..and u have no appetite..shouldnt u have lost more??or did u just start getting band every 2months??

(keep in mind im not band and dont know when i will b im on a waiting list)<BR>i also aLWAYs feel the need to shop..but i just cant stand going into stores coz i dont seem to find anything i like or the fear of not fitting into things..the right way..and plus size clothing isss wayyy 2 over priced..so ive been buying clothes online from forever 21 they r cheap and they will only last time the fashion will last!

Im not band..but Id like to know..what is the life spand of a filling??? how long does it last?? once you reach your good spot lets say..can it be for as long as you have the band?

im not band yet..but y no gum? what happens if u just had greek food?

tell ur mom u can do weight watchers when u are banded..

hello my fellow PCOSers, im starting this thread becoz ive read many old threads about how you were in the process of getting band..or trying to get pregnant with PCOS"..I WAS just wondering what happened to you girls?? did u reach ur goal? did you end up having children?? have you had issues losing the weight..i have not been banded yet..and also have PCOS i am very afraid of not being capable of losing weight..im looking forward to some replies..

i do laser on my face..and it has improved very much..i barely have anything...just that its a bit pricey..

i still havent been banded..but what pain do we feel when food gets stuck? and y does food get stuck? coz its not chewed enough?

its normal to have doubts..i too get scared..i still havent been banded..im on a waiting list..and i sometimes do ask myself these questions..but then i tell myself if i want to reach a certain goal..and this is gonna help me do it..i need to be focused on my goal..and im gonna do whatever it takes to get there!! people have said that certain cravings they once had..kinda stop...plus its about learning how to eat..WELL!! and getting healthy...!!

ive got that comment many times..even when i was thinner..and it really sux..i got that comment a few months ago..and started laughing for how nervous i was.. basically i was working at the bank..and we were selling bottlesof Water for the terry fox foundation..the bottles were at room temparature and this client wanted it cold..so my supervisor..asked me in the clients presents..can u please go grab him a bottle downstairs for the fridge..i said sure!! when the client heard that..he turned to my supervisor and said..how dare you make her go down the stairs to get me a bottle of water..the poor girl is pregnant..i bursted into laughter! not knowing how to react..my supervisor felt bad for me..and started laughing as well.. the client was confused..and kept on repeating how can u treat a pregnant girl like that..!! i got sooo fed up of him saying that!! i looked at the client with a serious face and said '' listen only because i am overweight doesnt automatically mean that i am pregnant!!'' he didnt know how to respond he didnt say a word and left and he didnt even buy a bottle the a*****e!!

i was always chubby...when i hit puberty i gained quite a bit a weight and when i turned 21 for some reason i had lost like 60..70 pounds..and i felt that way that i looked fat..i didnt know what i looked like when i was thin..now that im over weight again..i need to lose a good 100 pounds if not more.. and i look at pictures..i freak at how dry i looked..how thin i actuallly was..i was hot damn it!!..and i considered myself big..like someone said its all inthe brain!!!

HELLO everyone, I find myself confused..i read up on lapband on this site and everyone is so positive about it..makes me feel great!! then when i try looking onto quebec sites(coz i am from montreal) which only seem to be in french..all these people on the lapband french canadian sites..say the opposite of what is said on this site..it leaves me confused..is it that french people r lazy and they dont excercise and were told that the lapband does it all on its own..or is it that the doctors rnt good here..someone also said that a doctor told her not to do the lapband but to get the bypass done..coz the lapband doesnt work and he was going to take it off his site coz he doesnt feel its right to be praticing something that doesnt work...idd like to know ur fed back..

i still havent been banded im waiting for my consultation appointment..but u truly will be an insparation for me..in my weight loss journey!

might be free now.but if u do it threw the hospital ..u stil have to wait..i called yesterday they said its 3 yrs just for a CONSULTATION!!!!!!!!!! god knows how long its going to take for the actual surgery!!!!!! i rather pay!!

not only is it ur own decision..but its ur own health..when ur stuck taking pills..going to doc appoitments..or not getting regular periods..and cant have kids..its not their lives..they dont go threw what u go threw every single day..so i dont see y people should even bother saying even the smallest thing like ''ur crazy'' ..u should said u dont know till you go threw it!!!

i called dr. miller to book a consultation friday and i was told that there was a waiting list so i guess hes gettin busy...where r his surgeries done? at the clinic or at the hospital? whoever has gone to him..how did u pay? did u have to pay in full or u can pay in installments?how long does the surgery take?

i meet my husband threw the internet ..its not like it used to be that everyone was scared of saying they met someone of the net..its more opened now..and its a great way to make friends and meet some good people just like u..obviously some people r there to just play around..but its not always the case..y not look for someone on this site..at least ud have something of interest to talk about.,have a similair journey path..and can relate to one and other..

i was just wondering is there lots of test and diets to do b4 actually going threw it ? and can u get refused to go along with the operation?

im so jealous of u guys i still didnt get my consultation date..
