If you don't like something you read just IGNORE it. Just because you're a member of the site doesn't mean you have to agree with everything that's posted here.

Is the site still painfully slow today ? By the way....this site speed has nothing to do with the ads.

The "hide thread" feature has been added. You'll see "Ignore this thread" in the Thread Tools drop down. You can manage your ignored threads right from your CP.

We can do something about the way the ads look. PM me to discuss this further. I'm open to any suggestions on ad layout etc. I'd rather not have members send money to support the site.

What exactly are you gals worried about ? I've footed the expenses of LBT for quite a few years now and would lover to add many many useful features. All of this costs $. Getting advertisers to foot the bill seems to me like the best method possible. It's either that or start charging a small membership fee which I will never do if it's up to me.

Ok, I think I've found a solution to our little problem. Go to your CP and click on "Edit Options" scroll all the way down until you see "Exclude Forums from "Get New Posts"" Let me know if this works for everyone please.

Are you using the skin that says 1024 next to it ?

These will be replaced over the next few days with advertisements. We're testing different ad formats and layouts that won't conflict with the forum layout.

I think we've decided to let our members select which side they'll be able to view the ads. We'll roll out this option over the next few days. You'll also have an option on removing the anonymous lady from our logo too.

I up for anything, I'll let the LBT community decide! Put together a poll/contest thread and let majority rule!

My resolution is set to 1400 x 1050 and it's fine for me. What's everyone else running ?

She's just a nice gal relaxing next to our logo. The logo is a little boring so we figured a little sex appeal never hurt anybody I'm going to make some changes to the advertisements but before I do that I want to understand WHY the ads on the left are bothering you ? Do you have to scroll the screen horizontally ?

If you all would like to have the image removed at the top and if thats what the majority of you all prefer I will make it happen. I am also working on a solution for those of you who prefer the ads to be on the right side of the page. I will keep you all updated!

Thats right! We have finished the new skin for LapBandTalk.com. After taking your suggestions on the other skin many of you were unhappy with it so we decided to remake another.
