  1. You are on the same day for surgery that I am!!!! Good Luck...)
  2. I have not had my surgery yet, but I really believe that when you are so physical while you where training your metabolism gets really cranked up so when you had your second surgery and you physical workouts have shrunk down so far your body is not burning as much, ie. weight gain or no weight loss...My husband is a runner and did the Marine Corps Marathon if he does not train for awhile he gains...How about walking some more and add hand weights to your routine? I live in GA, too and know you can find some really great parks with killer hills!!! You can do it just take a breath and move, move, move.....))) Stay Cool
  3. Don't beat yourself up you will be fine!!!!!! Remember it is a journey and sometimes you will screw up! Just remember there are alot of people here that know what you are going thru and you are not alone....Get right back on the horse and ride!!! )))))
  4. Hello, My name is Lisa Robinson...OK I just found this out last night..At your pre op surgery appointment they should have given you a temp card, if they did not however do that then call, Allergan @ 1-800-LAP-BAND and have the following info., Lap-Band System Size, Surgery Date, Surgeons Name, Surgeon's Telephone Number, Valid Email Address and let them know you need your Patient ID Card it allows you to get smaller portions at resturants and you should bring it with you for doctor appointment and hospital procedures as well as MRI's and medical emergencies!!! How this helps!!! Lisa

  11. Hi, Rosann, My name is Lisa Marie Robinson. I am 42 and have a 21 year old daughter and 4 year old twins (boy/girl). My surgery is on Dec 6th, so we are kind of in the same boat. You mentioned that you have see alot of negative post, I agree with you..It make me kind of second guess myself alittle...I do think my surgeon is right..You have people that drink their calories and then see no weight loss that is a given..I also asked about device failure he said 20% and said that on these sites it is such a consolidated group that you are bound to hear about the bad stuff too! I am super active but, as I get older it seems i just keep gaining weight...Anyway, good luck!!! Lisa
  12. Hello, My surgery date is Dec 6th..I went to a support group of about 50 people and I was the only lapbander in the bunch. When the others found out I was having lapband they proceded to tell me that I don't want it and that I was gastric bypass...One hell of a support group!! Anyway, good thing I know what I want..I just know that with any surgery there can be complications and you only hear about the ones that go wrong..It is nice to be on a site that gives the good and the bad!!
  13. I did about 6 years ago and my docter said it would not be a problem for me either...The funny thing is I kind a feel like a stuffed sausage with all this weight on me..At least I don't have that hangy skin on my belly anymore, very tight!!!
  14. Do you mind me asking what was your out of pocket expense???? Thanks
