He is very thorough, may require pulmonary and cardiac clearance. Have you gone to the information session yet? I was very confident in his ability. The process may take a while but it's worth it in the long run. I have had no complications and am down 64 pounds since starting my journey last year. I was required to do 6 months of supervised diet for my insurance. Started in feb surgery in septemb

It was recommended by the NUt to not ever drink soda again. As for steak I am 7 weeks out and it is one of the easiest things for me to eat. Started on food at 4 weeks. After 1 week of purees and 2 weeks soft foods. Chicken gets stuck, fish gets stuck. So red meat has been my lifeline to protein goals. I can even eat beef jerkey with no issues. I just make sure I chew, chew, chew. I can only eat about 1.5 - 2 ounces of steak but at least it stays down. -
I had the blurry vision for about a week. I think it may have to do with anesthesia. Hope it gets better for you.

Mine usually last 3 days and after surgery I got it a week early and it lasted for almost 3 weeks. I think the sudden huge change just shocks the system a bit. -

I soooo needed to read this today. I am at a stall for a week now. And even though I know they happen it does get frustrated. But, I have to look at the bright side I'm 16.5 pounds down since surgery and 37.5 since I started this journey. I fit into jeans that I haven't worn in a year and they are even a little lose. So I guess it's not that bad. Thank you again I needed to hear it from someone else I guess. Tracey -

One week post op & im getting hunger pains...why?

I also think it may be acid. I was having a similar problem even if I had just eaten. I would feel like my stomach was growling and starving. I asked my surgeon when I was at my post op visit and he gave me Nexium. Now it rarely happens unless I don't eat for 6-7 hours, which I try not to do. Hope you find out what's causing it for you. Recovery - can I do this on my own?

4 days after surgery I was feeling great and tried to take my 22 pound pug for a walk. Well I did it but he was pulling a bit and it did make my tummy sore. If you have a fenced yard you may be better off. Unfortunatley my yard is not fenced. I didn't walk him again for two days He just had to wait for the kids to get home to walk him or he just went outside the back porch door. It's not impossible but doable. Maybe an area teenager could help for a small fee. -

I've been having Crystal light, even the red ones, since day one in the hospital. -
I had this happen the first few days after surgery and by day 6 I was perfectly normal again. For me it is a reaction to general anesthesia. I've had it happen before. So I wasn't concerned about it.
