  1. I too just came from my first fill today! I asked my doc how big my band was and he told me it was 11cc. I also asked him how much fill I would be getting..I got 3.5cc which he said everyone gets the first time. He did have to numb me before he filled me because I hate needles and almost died when I saw the length of the fill needle..lol! He said I could get filled every week if necessary..but I don't think it will be. I really didn't need this one. I've lost about 40lbs since I was banded on 05/31/11.
  2. My nutritionist told me that I should eat 3 mini meals every 3-4 hours so it sounds about right that you would get hungry about then. Some ppl can go longer before getting hungry (like me). I just got my first fill 15 mins ago but I didnt really need it. I could go all day without eating..lol. 3-4 hours sound good to me!!
  3. Lea3277..I too am trying to figure out how to see others on MyFitnessPal. I use it everyday so thats how I know what Im taking in but I would like to see what others eat. Thanks everyone for the great advice!
  4. After 7 weeks I am still having a hard time getting 1200 calories a day in! I get all my Fluid and Protein (60-80gm) in but everthing I drink has 0-20 calories (which is mostly Water or single packs). I usually eat 2 scrambled eggs w/cheese for Breakfast which fills me up...a sensible lunch which is between 200-350 calories..and a sensible dinner which is between 200-350 calories. I'd say that I average about 700 calories a day. Also, I try to keep everything I eat low carb/low fat/low sugar. Is this ok? I was under the impression that we needed to get in at least 1200 calories for the weight to come off. Since surgery (May 31), I have lost about 35lbs (with no fill yet) but I have stalled for the past 2 weeks. Also, besides walking, I dont do much exercise because I'm afraid to burn the calories I do get in. I just need some advice!
  5. Thanks everyone..I will try all of y'all suggestions!
  6. I was banded on 05/31/11 and have lost 30lbs so far (without a fill) but now that I am back to work (I took a month off after surgery), my schedule is super busy and I find it hard to find time to eat! I wake up around 630am to get myself and my son ready for school/work..after that it's non-stop busy-ness..lol. Can anyone recommend some ON-THE-GO foods or Snacks that are healthy AND quick (low carb/low sugar/protien). When I do eat, I rarely get hungry in between but I need something that I can eat while I am on the run!
  7. Isopure 40 grams of protein in a 20 oz drink..comes in different flavors 160 calories 0 carbs..it's 100% pure whey and it tastes like kool aid and goes down easy!! Vitamin Shoppe sells it.
  8. I also aim for 65-80 a day. Isopure @ Vitamin Shoppe make a good tasting protein drink with 40 grams of protein in one 20oz drink..different flavors too but FYI grape frost tastes the best!
  9. I was also banded yesterday (05/31/11). Just a little soreness..feels like someone punched me in the stomach hard. Otherwise, I am walking around and drinking water. apple juice, broth, and jello. I stayed one night in the hospital and just came home around noon today. I can't seem to find a comfortable position to sleep in because I'm use to sleeping on my stomach. Otherwise, no serious gas pains or problems. Glad to see others are doing well too.
  10. I am scheduled to be banded on May 31st. I'm excited and scared all at the same time!!
