First Lap Band Fill!

I got my first fill today...2.5 cc. It wasn't bad at all. I got all worked up for nothing. The doctor did it under x-ray, which was nice because they can see what's going on in there. The barium wasn't even THAT bad lol. Sucks that I'm on clear liquids until tomorrow though. Protein shakes for two days and then soft food. Oh well I did it before surgery so I can do it now!

I too just came from my first fill today! I asked my doc how big my band was and he told me it was 11cc. I also asked him how much fill I would be getting..I got 3.5cc which he said everyone gets the first time. He did have to numb me before he filled me because I hate needles and almost died when I saw the length of the fill needle..lol!

He said I could get filled every week if necessary..but I don't think it will be. I really didn't need this one. I've lost about 40lbs since I was banded on 05/31/11.

I hate needles too, but the prick was so small I'm glad he didn't numb me. I think the burn of the numbing medicine would be worse. I was really worked up though. I thought it was going to be awful lol. Congrats on your weight loss so far!

Glad to hear it went so well Ashlee!
