Suggestions for a great UNFLAVORED Protein powder
The best protein I tried is 4 Ever Fit brand. The fruit flavors are the best (Have not tried the milky flavvors...)The whey flavor is not strong, and they are not too sweet... the fruit tastes like fruit, not artificial. http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=4+ever+fit+protein&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8#q=4+ever+fit+protein&hl=en&client=safari&tbo=u&rls=en&source=univ&tbm=shop&sa=X&ei=ClzoULK0NKTVigKWyYC4DA&ved=0CGkQsxg&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=bv.1355534169,d.cGE&fp=fb4c1bb5140e4871&bpcl=40096503&biw=1502&bih=869

Hair Loss
I took all my vitamins and protein and still do. I do think it will grow back, but it is taking time. I also went through menopause around the same time, and this might have been a factor for me. I lost perhaps 30%of my hair... not in spots but all over, and have about half or more of that(just guessing here) coming back in at this point. I used to not have any short hairs around my face, and now have lots of them... a good thing, but can't wait till they grow long again! KEEP IN MIND this surgery will improve your health and looks a LOT. New hair cuts and a little product can go a long way towards your hair looking thicker. All those cute new cloths don't hurt ether!

Hair Loss
I am at two years. I started losing my (very thick and waste length) hairaround 4 months. I STILL am losing more than before surgery. I had to cut off my hair as it was looking stringy. I now have short hairs growng in, and they are kind of finer texture than before. I plan on growing my hair out again if the texture normalizes. This being said, as proud as I used to be about my hair, its still worth it losing all that weight! I might even cut it REALLY short, like as long as the shortest hairs, and go from there. Might have to go BLUE or something! Its part of the adventure.

New guy here, you've GOT to read this!
Congrats! Things seem to be going great for you! I do have to say that having been on the forums for over 2 years, things have gotten a little negative some places. There were people with some really difficult recoveries on this site then, but they were always sooo positive and inspirational. It was almost like there was no down side to the surgery! I think people have to say what they say... and if they are having a rotten time, then say it if they want to! But its important to keep in perspective that this obesity thing will kill you early and make your life hell... and that is part of the calculated risk of NOT getting this surgery too. At two years I LOVE my sleeve, I have problems with keeping some of the weight off that I lost, but everything else is great, and I am so glad I got it!

I hate foods that i used to love!
Thats a big list! I can now eat anything I used to like (2 years out) but only lost my desire to eat a few foods early out...the list was never as long as yours... mostly sweet stuff...which now is just fine! (too bad!)

Suggestions for a great UNFLAVORED Protein powder
All the ones I have tried have that whey flavor, sometimes I think they ad some vanilla or something to offset it, and that tastes yuck in soup....but if you look at it like medicine, then its not so bad... I use "Any Whey". I also dump a muscle milk light into my ice coffee and its great! 100 cals

Does the change in tastes ever resolve?
At two years, I can eat anything I used to like the taste of and like it the same... just eat less of it. The texture thing has stuck around a little... can't stand apple peels, never a problem before...

I'll show you mine... (LBD's)
No need to go there! Get thee to the store!

I Think I May Have Stretched My Gastric Sleeve...
The stomach is swollen at first and can hold less. Grazing does allow one to eat a LOT more over time. I am a good example of the effects of this! I am now keeping track of meals and Snacks, and this is making a big difference. Even doing this, it is EASY for me to eat 1000-1400 cals a day. I can hit 2000 grazing. Not good! My stomach only holds about 3/4 cup of solid food... more if its Soup or sliders... In the morning a little less.

Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Im just saying, what you are doing now is maintaining where you are at. If you want to continue what you are doing now, then you might just say you are in maintenance, and all is good. If you want to lose more, than experimentation might be in order. Im looking at the same kind of thing too, except I need to get back to maintenance level after .... trying to lose what I have gained... and find out what it takes to stay there. Best of luck! You have done so well.

Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Im back. After a tour of eating through the holidays like the "good" old days. What they say about ice cream is true... So on this Jan 1st, Im back on the wagon. protein first, veggies and low GI carbs are the staples. And no drinking with meals...loging and weighing. Boo Hoo! I see what I eat has been a problem, but also, and perhaps even more, how often I eat. The sleeve works, but I have been grazing... so I am keeping track of how many times I eat a day. Im going for 3 small meals and three small snacks to start... then go down to two snacks. Happy Year all! And Coops, I would think that the way you have been eating IS maintenance for you at this point ... so just change the words and keep the action and you are good to go.

Size Zero
You look so fantastic! You can rock a bare midriff too... Lucky girl! I would look at this... if you can wear a 0 and maintain health, then relax your fear... it might be keeping you from your goals.... Everyone is built differently.. I could never wear a 0 and be healthy... I would be lucky to get into an 8 and not have everyone say I am a bone rack! Others can look and feel fantastic in a 0. Also, watch out for vanity sizing, it can change from store to store and brand to brand. Keep and eye on how you feel... your labs, and all the other ways one can measure the ideal weight, not just a size.

You Can Gain Weight With The Sleeve
I have been walking the straight and narrow for two days.(this is the third). I have lost over 5 pounds! This being said, it is all water I'm sure. Glad to get it off anyway. Just shows how eating all that crap can pack on the water weight! I am not eating low carb, just lower... under 100...and saying no to the treats always at work... staying under 900 cals..cutting the regular bread and whites way back.... sugar- byby. Back to the dance classes at last, you know, the things that got me to lose weight in the first place... and of course restriction is still pretty good. I can really stall while eating right, so I know this can't last, but it is sure encouraging to start out with this nice water dump!

Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
I know this is not the right place to post this, but here is a pic of a local party I went to last night, posed with Santas helpers... I found a bag of "too small" cloths I was hanging on to... and this fantastic red silk coat was in it... YAY most of the cloths fit~ Even though I have gained a little, I have so much to be thankful for! Happy holidays friends. I am cleaning out my refrigerator and going to the fantastic farmers market we have here, and stocking up on lots of fresh veg and fruits for the week. Cheers!

Smoking
I am sure you already know this, but it bears repeating, nicotine slows the healing process. You really want that staple line and incisions to heal up nice and fast...no leaks please! Now THAT would make you really anxious! Bet of luck, lots of herbal tea and exercise?

Am I A Candidate For Vsg - Brutal Honest Feedback Needed
I am a vegetarian, and am almost 2 years out. I have had NO problem getting enough protein, however for the first year, and even now I sometimes use protein shakes to boost my protein. I throw a muscle milk lite into my ice coffee, easy peasy! I can't eat as much in a sitting... but can graze like no ones business... and eat plenty of the wrong things. I have gained some weight, but still am SOOOO happy I have the sleeve. I am having to go back to "diet" eating, but that being said, its still easier than before. You do not have to give up grains, however the first year you need to really focus on protein and low carb veg to get the most out of your sleeve. I really missed the veggies, and started making veggie soups, blended at first, and could drink a lot of thoses... at a low calorie/carb cost. It took many months before I could eat raw, salads, fruit skins and such, but now, no problem. The time will pass, the sleeve will become more forgiving, and it will be easier to gain. It is a great tool though, and well worth the risk in my opinion. Oh, and I was lactose intolerant for a few months early on, making it hard to get protein through milk, cheese and such..(whey was fine), but that went away after 3-4 months.

Wow. Get thou to a clinic girl! Could be an ulcer or something! I get a pain under my left rib... but usually it is when I am sitting around all day... I think it is actually my rib smooshing my guts or something. Perhaps scar tissue-adhesion....

Are you taking a PPI? This can reduce the hunger feeling.
