  8. Hi Karen I dont know why I wasnt being notified of these posts, yes I did do the 6 months supervised diet, didnt loose anything except for the first month, I was able to cut it short by about a months because I had proof of trying and once again failing at weight watchers witing the same year. Im nervous but very ready to get this on with already..I start my preop liquid diet the week before and I am not looking forward to that at all..to say the least

  11. you know thats funny, Im getting sleeved on Arpil 11th and I too have been counting the days and it is going to be close, but thought the exact same thing,..Tiffany you are too funny! One less thing to think of I guess..best of luck to you..
  12. what insurance do you have? My sister just got denied with Aetna, she also had a BMI of slightly lower than 40 and she had high blood pressure and is taking meds for it, I went on a 6 month supervised diet and lost a little then gained it back, basically I am the same wieght now that I was when I started. I was worried too about the Insurance thinking I could loose it on my own,, but If I could do that I would not be taking drastic measures to loose it right? I heard that they just want to make sure you can stick to a plan, of excercise and healthy eating. So I basically told my PCP that I was increasing my excercise and watching what I ate. I have Cigna for the record..
  13. My Surgeon says to check with my Dr. on what to take instead of Pristique, I have tried a few others in the past and had bad side effects. Just wondering if anyone has had a problem switching to something that can be chewed or comes in a liquid form? I'm the most nervous about this at the moment,. My surgery is sceduled for April 11th so I know I will have to taper of sometime soon..not sure what to do I would appreciate any input anyone can throw my way!!

  17. Hello All My surgery is Scheduled for April 11th yay!! Im so thrilled my main worry right now is I am taking pristique and it can't be cut in half crushed or anything like that because it is timed release, has anybody had this issue? If so what did you switch to and how soon before starting something new did you taper off?
  18. Yes I would like one please...they didnt have the sleeve book available when I got my book , it was only for gastric bypass so I would love to see it!! Back at the beginning of December I received a spiral bound booklet from my doctors office that explains everything I would need to know about getting a Gastric Sleeve/Bypass. From pre-op to post-op and it has helped me sooo much!!! This morning, I happened to have a few minutes to myself and decided to unbound the spiral and scan the whole booklet. If anyone would like to have a copy of it, please let me know. I emailed it from my work to my yahoo account with no problems on the size. Let me know if your interested - Tiffany
  19. I wondered and worried about the same thing because it clearly says do not crush on the label...I do not want to go off and start that process again..have you heard anything so far ?
  20. oh Im late on the post,,,sorry I responded to the prior MIL post....best of luck I would love to hear more about the liquid diet..
  21. I am keepin this on the DL with my own Mom for the very same reason they dont understand and its not fair to you..You need to be happy with your decision and not worry what the others say!!! no matter what they will find fault with what ever you do, If yo dont loose it she will say you are overwieght when you do get it she will probably say you took the easy way out.....block it all out...trust me..you will be stronger and better for it..it is a health issue and she is not a doctor...
  22. Hello Just checking in to see how you are doing..how did the surery go?
