  2. Hey everyone, Well I was banded on March 28th. RIght now I have 6cc in my band and have lost a total of 52 pds. I am suppose to go on Sept. for a fill. I am 5'1 so my goal weight is 130, so I am 51 pds away from reaching it.
  3. I was banded on March 28, so a little less then 6 months and I have lost a total of 51 pds. Yeah!! This is the first time I can say I have ever lost that much weight. Everyone is giving me compliments on how great I am looking. I was taking high blood pressure meds 2 times a day and diabetes meds. 2 times a day. I have completely stopped taking both of those. Im just excited about my weightloss with my band.
  4. They tell you to drink decaf tea and cokes because you will get dehydrated if you drink the ones with all the caffenine in them. But I don't drink decaf coffee everyday, just every once in a while. I make it kind of like my little treat, since I am really having to watch my calorie intake.
  5. My dr says strickly liquids for 48 hours, so any swelling can go down. That includes your protein shakes, just do broths and popcicles are fine. Hope that helps.
  6. I am 5 months post op and have adjusted to not drinking while eating. My dr told us no drinking 15 min. before and to wait a hour before you drink after you eat. What I do as a precaution, since I have had a few things get stuck. I do take a bottle of water with me to lunch since I sit in my car incase I need to take a sip to wash something down. Hope that helps, in the beginning I had a hard time getting use to not drinking while I am eating. But your body does learn to adjust.
  7. I found a awesome website to use to count calories and your exercise. The name of it is FITDay.com, its great at tracking calories and its FREE!! It also sounds like it might be time for a fill also. Good Luck

  12. I am 20 weeks post op and have lost 45 pds. I am going to the Dr. soon for a check up, but not sure if I should get a small fill, My weight has stayed the same and I have quit loosing anything. I can still eat more then 3 or 4 bites of something and I did have 6.5 cc in my band and they had to take .5 out because I was having a hard time of fluids going down. He said last time I was there I am getting close to the green zone. I want the scale to keep going down, I have about 50 more pds I want to loose. Please help, any kind of input will be helpful. Thanks
  13. I went back to the dr. the day after my fill. The day before he put 1 cc in my band, I had to get some taken out because I wasnt able to get my water to go down. So it took 1/2 a cc out and I am all better. Thanks for everyones help. I have 6cc, and have lost 42 pds. in 4 months. Yeah!!!
  14. I went ahead and called the Dr. office. They told me clear liquids only for three days, I shouldn't even be drinking my shake right now after my fill. It helps if they tell me to not do the protein shakes after a fill. Hope my boo boo helps others.
  15. I am almost 4 months post op. I had my 3rd fill done yesterday afternoon, I now have 6-6 1/2 in my band. This morning I am trying to drink my protein shake and am having a hard time drinking it. Has anyone else ever had this? Should I call the Dr. office to let them know?
