Salad!
I love salads, but I can't tolerate any raw veggies, or some cooked. The gas pressure is just too much for me.

Keep Fussing And I Will Keep Posting!!! Love Ya!!!
Banderama, Ma'am your posts are the most judgemental, I've seen on here. I'm sorry that Christianity upsets you. But, don't judge a whole group of by a few.

Does Everyone Still Take All Thier Vitamins?
Nutritionist told me, no gummies, they don't disolve completely. I take flintstones chewable, 2 viactiv calcium(caramel, delicious), biotin twice a day, 1000 mcg, vitamin d and a b12 sublingual. My hair has gotten thicker since I've been taking the biotin.

Still No More Weight Loss>Discouraged
Don't get too discouraged. I myself had to fight the discouragement. I was banded 3/19/12. I've lost 30 since pre-op diet. I got to the point of, "why didn't I go w by-pass? It would've been so much faster." BUT, I went for my 5th fill and am now at 4.75 and the change that, that .75 has brought me has been amazing. My dr. kept telling me to be patient, it will come. He was so right. Don't give up, don't let the discouragement take over. If I can do it, you can too!

Keep Fussing And I Will Keep Posting!!! Love Ya!!!
Its funny, banderama is on this thread spewing very negative comments and is then critical of how "religious people" act. No one is attacking you, we are encouraging this thread creator. YOU are turning it around. P.s. most scientists are Christians. The loudest aren't. They don't speak for all, they are just louder.

Only 30Lbs
P.s. So far it doesn't make me feel satisfied for even an hour.

Only 30Lbs
Thanks for taking the time to comment and help out a struggler. I have gone in for fills once a month since 6weeks out. First was 2, than 1, now he only gives me 1/2 every visit. He says its a slow process, to be patient. Yes, I know what and how much, I'm supposed to eat. Its just easier said than done. The first 3 months, I did awesome ate what I was supposed to and would get on here daily to get support and ideas just from reading other's posts. But, I was doing it alone and got impatient. My first step was to get on here and get some, motivation, a certain amount of accountability and even some tough love.

Only 30Lbs
I've only lost 30 lbs since March 19th(surgery date). I am so frustrated. I am at 4cc and no restriction. Some foods get stuck if I don't chew well, but thats about it. I am no good at dieting on my own, hence the lapband insertion. I've started eating carbs and bigger portions. I told myself today, is the day. I've gotta get back on track! Its hard, though. How do some of ya'll do it? Should I have lost more by now? Help!

To Fill Or Not To Fill? Experienced Bandsters Please Chime In...
I wouldn't get a fill, but still talk to your doc. My surgeon told me not to look for any weightloss a month out. You sound like you're doing great!
-
So Discouraged!!!
Until you get proper restriction, you have to control what and how much you eat or you will gain weight. Once you have the right restriction the band does most of the work. Don't give up on the band when it hasn't even started working yet. Lapband is a slower process than bypass but, we can control how much restriction we will ALWAYS have(its just getting there, thats hard), whereas bypass can slowly strretch back out over time. Good luck!

6 Months Diet
I have bcbs of alabama, surgery in March this year. I had to have it. BUT, it also depends on your plan. I would call or make an appointment with the surgeon you are planning on using, The insurance person will look all that up for you. Or you can call your insurance and find out. Good luck! Time off was only about a week, so that really shouldn't be too much of an issue, depending on what kind of work you are in.

Does This Sound Ok???
My nutritionist ok'd me for refried beans with a lil liquid to thin them out, I add taco sauce, baked taters w/o skins, very scrambled eggs, runny grits, runny oatmeal, lots of creamy soups....

Do You Think Sexual Attraction Will Change With Weight Loss?
I think who you are attracted to changes as you change, otherwise we would all be pedophiles. When your 16, 16 yr old are attractive. When your 30, then adults your age are attractive. Hopefully when I'm 70 my hubby will still think I'm hot! Whats attractive about your wife isn't just her body, its the complete package. I've seen men who I thought were attractive but, after knowing them.... Not so much. I like bigger men but, if my man got skinny, his whole being would still be sexy..
