  1. Yes I was denied for my original request of a lapband, had an atty and appealed, that went on for 11 mos, ultimately I was denied. I moved forwarded, learned about the sleeve and got the sleeve as a self pay.
  2. That does sound good! Sour cream would be good instead of the Greek yogurt too, don't you think?
  3. I wore jeans home from the hospital and I was only in 1 night. They were loose fitting and I was confortable. I took pjs w me but I didn't use them I just stayed in the hospital gown. The morning after I did get up brush my teeth and put some powder on my face.
  4. I like Unjury, the chicken flavor to make a broth soup and vanilla and chocolate splendor for drinks. BUT you have to flavor the drinks, I use the sf tarrani syrups and dry sf pudding powder and I add ice and blend in the blender. They taste really good when you do that. I really like van w white chocolate and raspberry syrups and chocolate splendor w hazelnut.
  5. You can do this! It means a better and safer surgery for you. You are worth it!
  6. I did on the pre op diet but post op it wasnt bad at all. Pre op that was a whole different story!
  7. Thank you, everyone! Doctor said based on my current symptoms it doesn't sound like anything serious. He did say that something could change though and told me what to do if pain develops. He said with a leak there is pain usually and the pain continues to increase. I have no pain at all. He said it could just be a fever from the surgery but he typically doesn't see a fever break 101 if it's just from surgery. At this point we are just going to watch it and see if it goes away or if other symptoms occur.
  8. My fever just spiked! No idea what is wrong, I really don't have other symptoms, other than just feeling rotten. I'm waiting for the doc to call now.
  9. I don't have any other advice to add other than I don't want you to think you are alone. I'm two weeks out and this sucks, way more than my expectations. I thought I was well prepared but there r days I can't get out of bed, days I can't get my protein, days I cry. This is hard and it's major surgery. I thought I would snap back better than this, but I'm not. I talk to myself all the time to stick to the rules, sip sip sip, protein protein protein. It will get better , it just takes time.
  10. Woo hoo! I'm dancing for you!!!
  11. You can count them as fluid but they r small, only like 1.5 ounces or so.
  12. My nut said no caffeine for 6 mos, because it's an appetite stimulant. My plan was to first break the caffeine addiction then move on to my Pre op diet which was breaking the carb addiction. I didn't want to tackle them at the same time! I'm glad I did it that way because each was hard.
  13. Happy Easter to you too!
  14. My God, I'm pretty sure you are the most creative people I know!!!!!what a great idea.
  15. I'm definitely still the zombie version and I've overdone it the last two days and I'm tired, really tired! I'm just ready to be done, done w special eating, done w recovery. I want to be recovered! I want to eat food that it's pulverized in the bullet!
  16. I hoping for " second times a charm!" I definitely need to see that personal ad!!!
  17. I did the same thing, surg on Mon, pedi on Fri! Go for it!
  18. I'm not laughing AT you, I'm laughing WITH you! LOL one never knows what the cosmos has in store foe us.
  19. WOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!!!! Congrats, that's a huge step!
  20. I haven't felt any sharp pains. I will occasionally feel a muscle twinge but it's not sharp and not a big deal. If it's constant you should call your surgeon.
  21. Two weeks. I can shower just not sit in a tub or swim.
  22. For the first week I had a lot of red liquid jello and I had the exact same situation in the bathroom! It happened more than once. Not sure how much of the syrup you used but I can tell you that it was a normal thing for me that first week. It's completely gone now and I'm not drinking the jello anymore.
