  2. Your definitely right about the driver's license pic- mines looks like a whole different person lol.
  3. Congrats on your surgery date!!! So exciting! 6 more days, wow! Are you nervous? I am wishing you the best! I began walking immediately after I woke up from surgery and a week or so later I did the treadmill for 15 minutes and I slowly progressed to 30 minutes. By 6 wks I was in the gym for an hr and I was cleared for weights and whatnot. (I was told I could do 15lbs or less weights before my 6wks). Now at 10 wks post op I do about an hr and a half a day between 4 to 6 times a week.
  4. Good luck on your surgery I think maple bacon flavored protein shakes would just be bananas!!! Someone should invent it Sounds delish!
  5. Welcome Terry Keep us posted! Congrats on starting your journey to sleeveland lol....sleeveland (I crack myself up).
  6. Hey guys! My goal this week is to go to the gym 5 to 6 times and to work out an hour and a half each time I go. So far so good considering its Tuesday and I'm headed to the gym for my 2nd day. It's been interesting to say the least w/ all the mood swings, cramps, etc these past 5 days but I kept pushing myself. I hope that I can meet my personal goal of 250 by next Thursday, I'm suppose to be going to San Diego for my boyfriend's family reunion

  15. I try not to because I was advised by my surgeon and dietician not to- but sometimes I make take a sip or two which I feel really guilty about but I would definitely try not to drink 30 minutes before or after, it really helps keep you feeling full longer....
  16. Thank you all for the kind words I think actually having the two pics to compare has floored me cause sometimes when I look in the mirror I can't tell that I've lost the weight that I've lost. I feel like between my SO and you guys I have the most supportive team ever I'm just so happy I found this site. My boyfriend is my best friend and he's been so supportive of everything, 8 years strong and I'm just grateful for his support.
  17. Yes it is my SO, love him to death lol! He's been doing my diet with me everyday since the pre op diet lol. He lost 15lbs.
  18. These pics are like a year apart- me at my highest weight 312lbs (on the right) and the one on the left I took last night at a birthday celebration(254lbs) I hope it posts lol.
  19. Ok, this is a weird question but has anyone else experienced this issue: since surgery, every month when I get my period I throw up and Im nauseous and I can't keep any food down... It just hits me out of no where. This is my second period since surgery and I was sitting in Barnes and Nobles reading and I instantly had to puke (sorry I know it gross), I told my boyfriend I needed to go home like immediately and I didn't even make it to the car. Once in the car I was ok until I got out of the car and I didn't make it to the door before another episode of "grossness". Then I had realized I was cramping and discovered I was on my "ladytime" lol. SO WEIRD, not cool. I just had to ask cause this sucks and I cant keep anything down.
  20. It's Friday! I've officially lost 2lbs since my last update, 4.8 more pounds to go before I hit the July 4th goal- I'm hoping that I can reach it and some! SN..............Starting Wt........Current.......Goal.......Lbs to Goal Candaceshenea............312................254.8..............250............4.8
  21. I've used miralax(actually used it today) and milk of magnesia. The milk of magnesia works alot faster but I didn't feel like I needed immediate relief so I used miralax. The milk of magnesia helped me out alot my 2nd week post op cause I hadn't had a bowel movement since before surgery and I felt like a new person afterwards lol.
  22. You look great! I can definitely see the difference!!!
