New Chapter
Welcome to the Forum Brownbear. I feel your pain. I am having many of the same thoughts you are having on the eve of my surgery. Scared, nervous and second guessing my decision. Just hoping I have the courage to follow through as I am tired of watching my kids ski down the mountain and not being able to participate, tired of having to turn down my girlfriend's offer of a long Saturday afternoon bike ride because I'm simply too fat. But....on the other hand, I can't imagine my life without my friend and comforter, food. You have come to a great forum. There is a wealth of information on this forum and many wonderful people to share their experiences and guide you on your way. Wishing you the best. Renee

I Cheated a few times and now I'm scared
I am scheduled for surgery Dec 22 and am wondering if my mind is where it needs to be also. I have attempted to do a low carb/protein diet for the past couple weeks and can't seem to stay on it. Am wondering if I need to be re-thinking my surgery?? I have a two week liquid diet prior to surgery, buy my biggest concern right now is why I can't stay focused and do this low carb/protein diet? I have been eating better, but can't seem to give up the carbs.

Thanks Kimmes! I see you are not far behind me. Let's all stay in touch and help each with encouragement. I am going to add you on my friend list. I have been trying to get focused and eat more high Protein - low carb as that will be our way of life - but am finding it difficult as I am such a carboholic! But am doing better today..... Renee
