  1. Amazing thank you so much, as I can no longer take certain SR's, this has been quite a dilemma, as how to take regular meds, that are huge and need crushed. Thank you for sharing
  2. I take dexilant 60mg x2 daily AND Cerafate(a liquid band aid) not sure what I would do with out it, feels like hot rocks in there other wise, Nothing pre surgery
  3. Not sure if there is something like this? Maybe tips, info, mentoring, ideas for success? Worth a shot, any one interested?
  4. Count your blessings... lol I am the cook, here, Day after surgery business as usual...I'm not complaining, guess it would be cool if someone else cooked... I'm just so used to doing it, I miss food, (I think) I'm still not sure what to think of this life changing decision, I have made, the one thing I AM sure of, however.. is that it's permanent, thank god, 'cuz I'm a damn good cook! I'm 6 weeks out today, and It's so hard, a bite here, a foamie there, heart burn, nausea, cranky as hell, I'm ready to gargle gravel, just for some substance and something different, haha< happy with my choice?Yes, I'll be small soon, Hungry??? probably for the rest of my life... think I'll take up shopping,.but real hard to think of new jeans, with the smell of home made BBQ chicken burritos wafting thru the house, and me sitting here, thinking about a hot cup of chicken broth....ahhh, life.. it is good is it not???
  5. I just found Re-fuel by dairygold, it has 20 g's of protein, I've only seen it in chocolate, I cant drink a whole one but I use it as part of my meals thru out the day, I still cant eat more than a few tablespoons at a time, (I'm 6 weeks out) and I find it easier to drink something, so it being higher in calories doesn't bother me,
  6. That was amazing, insightful, and inspiring. I am 6 weeks post op, and I thought almost all the same stuff,(I didn't send my potatoes back either.. lol) You will be just fine, The results are fantastic, the new way of thinking and eating, is quite frankly, a bitch, but when one is committed, to change, it is also a blessing! Nothing easy is worth having... Good luck in Ohio,I'll be thinking of you,
  7. Coffee... and dang I LOVED it B4>> can't stand it now... very odd, tastes like dookie and I don't ever finish it> I'm 1 month post op on wed, and I'm still mostly on liquids, cant seem to get anything substantial in< and I panic when I think about eating< so I decided to stay on mostly thin soups, or protein shakes, and see if that helps, Had the foamies once, don't want them again< My tummy talks all the time, I'm a hairdresser, and clients are like"you ok"?? LOL hopefully it settles soon, I also tried thin mashed potato's got about 2 tbl spoons in< that's when I had the foamies, and was miserable, losing like a maniac, but probably 'cuz I'm stinking starving, Haha> Such a learning process, huh??
  8. O yes me too, (3weeks yesterday) hicups, bubbles and nausea, I have about a 3 tiny bite max.
  9. I boiled eggs, and had rotisserie chicken and used chicken broth to thin it, it was surprisingly tasty, so hard to come up with ideas... home made split pea has by far been my fave! 14 grams of protein(plus whatever from the bacon and chicken broth)per 1/4 cup, I find it hard to swallow, or have anything sit well if it's not liquid, tho. friday I get to start mushies, which doesn't seem to be much of a difference.
  10. I get to start them Friday, not sure how exciting after purees... lol almost the same? Im sooo lost it isnt even funny. Luck girls

  13. sleeved the 16th, omg, the gas pains, not so much even gas, but the bloating painful need to burp feeling but can not...I'm getting a little worried, Dr. said he stitched me extra snug, not sure what that means. this will be one of the best things I have ever done, I'm just going thru some major WTH was I thinking...Tons of walking, malox, very little relief.. I'm a little scared, Thank you. for everyone's posts, sharing your journeys are enlightening, and gratefully appreciated
  14. I'm 2 days post op, the gas pains are horrible, lots of walking, Dr. Said he made me super snug, (not sure what he meant) can start full liquids today, very tired, pain is tolerable, spasms suck tho. Just this morning can burp, and toot a little. Doesn't seem to help much, 2 tiny sips and feel bloated full, I hear it gets easier, sure hope so
  15. Yay!! Best of luck, mine is wed!!!
