  12. I too have plantar fascaitis which flares up even so often. My podiatrist also had me wear a brace for six weeks and do phyical therapy for a couple of weeks after the brace did not work. Bottom line I was in a lot of pain. My doctor even had me get a temporary handicap sticker for my car for six months. In my opinion phyical therapy and bio freeze was a God sent. Bio freeze is a pain relieving gel that a lot a phycial therapists have. FYI: My podiatrist said if I lost weight it would help alot. I also told my surgeon I had plantar fascaitis and he noted it in my file. Good luck. I know it can hurt. Deb

  16. I would like to give a big "THANK YOU" to everyone who responded in my time of understanding. I'll be alright. It helps to know people care. I'm going to look upon this as at least there wasn't anything seriously wrong with me. This can be easily fixed. I am now taking my prescription of potassium. 1 pill twice a day for fourteen days. I don't know if anyone knows the answer, but WHY ARE THE pills SOOOOO FREAKING BIG. LOL. Again thanks for the kind and encouraging words. Best wishes to everyone. You guys are AWESOME!!!!!! Deb

  22. Today I went to the hospital for my lab workup, chest x-ray, and EKG. That was 7:30 this morning. I just received a call from my surgeon's office and the nurse stated my potassium levels are to low and they might have to cancel my surgery if I can not bring them up. They are calling in a script as I am writing this. I NEED to start taking this medication immediately. I have waited and waited for this and now......:sad0: My emotions have been up and down lately and this seems like a crushing blow to me.... I feel like crying. My level is at 3.3 and they want at least 3.6. My surgery is in two weeks. The nurse said they will take lab work again the day of surgery. If still to low, they will have to cancel. Peeps I need some words of encouragement. Thanks for listening. Deb
  23. About 3 years ago I was on a a very small jet. I am 5'5 and weighed 270 pounds at the time. No way did I need to buy a second seat. However, last year when I was on another very small jet and 20 pounds heavier and I needed an extender. I just quietly asked the flight attendent for an extender. I am not bottom heavy so if that is a concern of yours you probably at worst would need an extender, but no way a second seat. Deb
  24. I think it is entirely normal and a little bit to be expected that your friend might be envious of you. It doesn't mean she isn't happy for you too. She is sad it isn't her yet. She will get over it and everything will be just fine. Deb
