I went in this morning for my endoscopy which I assume is pretty routine. However, just as I was walking into the door of my home, I received a call from my dr. He said that the biopsy of my stomach lining tested positive for H. pylori bacteria. I now have to take this antibiotic pack for the next 14 days. Does this sound familiar to any of you?

Congrats!!!! I know the feeling. I just received my approval today. I'm sooooo excited. But now....here come the nerves!!!

I AM SO EXCITED (that's why I am yelling)!!!!! I got my insurance approval today!!! Surgery will most likely be during the first or second week of March. BCBS worked way faster than I thought they would. THANK YOU JESUS!!!

Congrats to you all!!! Please send your blessings my way. Paperwork was sent in on Monday. I hope to hear something soon. Did you all wait for the dr.'s office to call you with your approvals or did you continuously call your actual insurance co. yourself?

I read somewhere on this board about wearing ankle weights under their pants to their weigh-insurance to insure they qualified for surgery. Sounds crazy, but wish I thought of that. Do what they say but don't forget to wear your "special ankle jewelry" to your appointments!!!

Morethan, when are you scheduled for surgery?

That is so funny because BCBS is my primary insurance and GHI is my secondary. I'd like to know the answer to that as well.

I had my last appt with the nutriti onist on Fri and found out that the practice is moving away from the two week all liquid pre op diet (unless you have a BMI of over 50). Now they are allowing 1 meal replacement shake and two sensible meals. I was sooooo relieved to hear that. As of Friday everything has been submitted and now I'm playing the waiting game. They said I should hear from insurance in about 2-3 weeks. Wish me luck!!!

I like Muscle Milk Light. I get the 24pk RTD from Costco for $25.99. It's on sale this month for $6 off. So I bought quite a few for $19.99. It's as close to chocolate milk as I can get.
