    Yay!!!

My logging is working!! That and my new balanced diet I guess... LOL I'm down 2 Lbs. and today is an official weigh day!

Since surgery I've lost 40.2 Lbs. I hope the logging and eating plan continues. I will just keep on keeping on! Not only that I am officially now into 14/16 instead of a 22/24 when I started my pre-op diet. LG!!

Sheesh you got me crying and I have a meeting in 5 minutes... haaa!! I just wanted to say, I'm gonna take some pics of me in those pants too and post em. Just wanna see how that looks. And yes, they literally do fall to the floor when I put them on. I have to hold em up, and could probly fit two of me in them.

Ohhhhh huney, I didn't even venture to the DS board after they attacked me on the revision forum back when I was having issues with my band.
Now, when they come trolling in over on OH at the VSG forum, I tell them that I'll take my half-ass sleeve with my amazing 138lbs weight loss, and easily maintaining without any nutrient/vitamin deficiencies, and NOT having to take 30 Vitamins a day just so my body functions properly. I know there are a couple of DS'ers that never made goal, and some that have regained because white carbs are WLS proof, and they sneak up on the best of people. Those few people that struggle with DS are banished from posting and instead of getting support they get bashed, and beaten by their own kind.
When they do the DS, I'm convinced they switch something else too. It's like a mental switch of superiority, and that they are all invincible and shit. Well, believe me, I'm going to be that bitch in about 3 years that goes back and posts, "HEY what's up biznatches, here I am still skinny, and still healthy, so stick in your oily buttholes ! ! !"

Love it (especially the hi-lited)!! These are the exact reason why I NEVER compare myself to anyone else. I know for a danged FACT that I will make goal - I don't need to feel like I'm in competition with anyone. I'm a winner in my world and nothing/nobody can take that away from me.

Welcome to the slow losers club. It's just nice to know that there are others out there that are like each other. It does make the ride a little bit more comfy!!

@coops, I'm glad you enjoyed your PB/toast. I've been loving PB lately - and even the chunky!! I have never in my entire life even thought about PB before. I do think they operate on the brain too with the sleeve...hee hee!!

Also, I did lose .2 Lbs over the weekend. It's my TOM too (well it's almost done now TG!!!) so for me I was absolutely just ecstatic!!! I shrilled and my hubby was happy for me too. My pants I'm wearing right now (16W BTW) are super baggy on me... LOL He said I should wear some sweats underneath to keep warm bc I'm constantly complaining how cold I am. Now who'd have ever thought I could fit sweats underneath a pair of 16's??? It's been a long time coming, that's all I know!!!

    Oh, happy day.

Thank You! My goal is to weigh 170, and then see how I'm feeling, and how much farther down I can go. So I need to lose another 57 lbs to get to 170. Doesn't sound like alot, when I've already lost 127..but I know (from hearing others stories) that it gets harder to lose the weight the closer you get to goal.
Hmm..the best part about losing this much weight..just has to be my improved self-esteem. My husband got tired of hearing me call myself fat all the time, and put myself down. Now..I am always joking w/my teenage boys that all their friends are gonna wanna flirt with me because I'm so hot..lol I am no longer diabetic..or have high blood pressure. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes about 2 yrs before I had surgery, and I just got put on high blood pressure med's 3 mths before surgery. I'm no longer on any med's other than for my thyroid. That was the main goal of having this surgery..to get off those med's and to add years to my life. I no longer snore at night too..which is wonderful! It seems so unreal to me to have changed this much in this short of time. I am so happy..but its all so emotional too. I go in the store shopping for clothes and go directly for the size 32 jeans..which i wore before surgery. I still don't see myself as being smaller. I never would have imagined I could be wearing a size 16 jean already..unbelievable.

Until now i have skipped over this post because I don't get my sleeve for two weeks... then I read it today and it is so ME in the past. I bet it will be me on the sleeve too. Last time I belonged to WW I lost 20 lbs... in two years! I too lose super slowly on diets and then stall out for weeks... and quit. The up side is I seem to gain it all back slowly when I lose it slowly. The times I was on kooky fasts and unsustainable sh*t like that, and lost weight fast, I gained it back fast too.
I am a volume eater, so I hope the sleeve will help me to stay on track that way.
I have never had problems with my skin when losing weight fast, I am older now so who knows, but I hope this is an upside to losing slowly.
Another upside to losing slowly? You gals are great, and we have found each other here because we are s-l-o-w losers!

    Thanks guys!!!
My laptop decided to give up the ghost so my ability to post anything to the internet is temporarily suspended, but once everything gets figured out I will definitely post a Then&Now. Another NSV this morning - a year before my surgery I had bought a cute t-shirt in the biggest size available from a grocery store in my hometown, it had the store logo and dancing vegetables and I thought it was cute. The biggest size in the women's style was an XL and when I tried it on I could barely get it over my breasts, it felt exactly like a corset, and forget about pulling it down any further.
Fellow sleevers, as I write this, I am wearing that shirt with a pair of jeans. In public. =) =) Oh, and I'm down another 2 pounds - I am now officially half way to my surgeon's goal, and 10 lbs from halfway to my personal goal. =) =) =)

OK so I haven't weighed myself for a while and won't do until affter my 5 day pouch test (on day 2 now) And my period, which is due in about a week.
As I said earlier in this thread my initial size goal was a size 12 UK, but now I've been buying 12's jeans, tops and even a little jacket in the sales and they fit me! I do need to loose a tiny bit more to actually look good in thme but I still can't believe I can fit into a size 12!!!!!!!!!!! New goal a size 10 and that's it or else I'll be the same size as my 12 year old daughter

Your numbers look almost exactly like mine!!! LOL!!! The thing for me tho is that I still have to lose 80 Lbs. Oh well... I just keep on fighting - not weighing every day. I weigh once or twice per week, that way I don't see a whole lot of the ups and downs. Also there have been times I didn't weigh at all knowing I'd see a minor gain (TOM). It would be a false gain so why stress over it?

@Denise, that is the best thing... don't stress! It WILL come off, even if slowly. The Holidays are over now (TG!!) and now we can just go back to business as usual.

@Coops - there is a "like" button. They are the little green (+) to the bottom right. hee!!

Let's keep rockin it no matter how long it takes! We are ALL winners!!!

coops got a reaction from LilMissDiva Irene in 8 wks post op today & so discouraged
    Hey,,,
30lb in 8 weeks is fantastic!!!!
Please don't compare yourself to others... I made that mistake and it was really discouraging! Everyone is different - thankfully- and we all do this in different ways... Some low carb and lose, some eat carb and lose etc. It really is a waste of time and energy looking at others weight loss.
Just remember the last time you lost 30lb in 8 weeks... have you done that before because I know I haven't!! and besides which, look at it like this... it is 30lb you will never see again in 30 years!!
As far as the stall goes... this is completely normal as most of us go through it... and again, yes it is frustrating. I am in the middle of one two and I am 5 mths out! Remember at 8 weeks you are at the end of the healing process and the stall is just your bodies way of taking some 'time out' and readjustng... it will come off again!
Chin up and keep us posted x

    Ladies,
this is ringing sooooo loud for me!! I too am a slow loser; I too stalled for 3 weeks from 2.5 weeks out and then it came off in fits and starts.
More recently I put weight on when I quit smoking; one week to put it on...over three weeks to get it off! UNFAIR!!!
My advise, keep going and stay positive, I know that is hard. Focus on the things that you have done... how much you have lost and how your clothes are feeling smaller now... do you have more energy yet etc?
As far as 500 cals... that isn't a lot mind... and I agree with the others that it probably isn't enough. I know when I don't eat enought cals my body doesn't like it and stops losing all together! What about Water? Are you drinking enough fluids? I remember ar your stage I needed to drink a lot!
Well, good luck and chin up... it will come off and when it does, it feels sooooo much sweeter!! Let us know how you are getting on x

    Hiya Coops,
Oh you poor thing, you have been through the mangle haven't you. I hope you're up and about and feeling better soon.
Thanks a lot for the info re post op. I'm going to have a go at doing the pre-op diet this weekend. Just want to get an idea of what it will be like ! I must be one of the most laid back people going, but the dietitian told me I might get a bit cranky while on the diet so that will be a laugh! They won't know whats hit them at work!
I haven't told my work colleagues yet, thought I'd leave it until just before op. Its been a work of art keeping it a secret from them for the past year as I work for my own GP. Managed to field all letters sent from hospital re op. Almost came unstuck last week when pre-op phoned to say they forgot to do a blood test and I needed to go back.
Re Mr Robert Peter Williams. How very dare you stalk him, I saw him first LOL!!!!!!!!!!
How dare he get married ( even though I'm nearly old enough to be his mum ) we may have to form an alliance to oust Ayda !!!
Have you seen him in concert ? I saw him on last Close Encounters tour WOW WOW WOW !!!! is all I can say.
Saw Take That last year, desperately watching for news of next years reunion tour.
    Best wishes Angela x

    Dianng,
just sip through the day, that is what I did for the first month or two... I can now drink normally and have been doing so for about a month or so... I use a Water bottle to help track how much I drink... like I said, just sip, sip, sip through the day and between meals.
How many meals are you eating a day? I am on three a day with no Snacks and I think that helps me to be able to drink more. There are some on her that are eating 4-6 times a day and I can imagine that, that would be harder to drink more!
Keep your chin up 'cos these stall, as frustrating as they are, are part of the process and will go away! My weight loss is far from consisitent but it is coming off and I am sure you will be the same too =]
