  1. Hi, Its amazing how every doctor is so different. Basically, I was on clear liquids for 1 week, now finishing up full liquids on week 2. Then will be "mushies" for week 3... then most regular foods for week 4. I really like how my doctor spelled everything out DAY by DAY..... I am a self pay so his instructions are very important to me and I don't want to move through anything too fast to mess things up. The day I had my surgery was condidered day 0. So you could start day 1 as the 24th and work your way ahead from there. Good luck... It's been pretty easy for me so far
  2. Definately...Yes & Yes! Actually I was worried I would be bloated and constipated like some people mention....I feel better knowing everything is moving through
  3. My port is located about 1 inch below my larget of 5 incisions. which is slightly to the left of my upper abdomen. Just feel around. It will feel hard. As we lose weight, it will be easier to find as it's under the fat and attached to the muscle.
  4. Definately time for a new GP....What a Jerk!
  5. I am 5 days post-op and I actually enjoy listening to stomach growl....something it has never done before! My stomach may be growling, but I am not hungry. The protein shakes do seem to fill me up along with broth, sugar-free- flavored waters and popsicles. Pretty content so far
  6. Hi Marcy, I was Banded on Monday 3/14 and noticed I was up two pounds today. I am not worried. Our bodies are all messed up right now and probably in survival mode. I plan to not get on the scale again for awhile. Today I feel so much better than yesterday...Thank goodness!
  7. Good Luck tomorrow! I get banded on the 14th...I am so excited and nervous too. Let us know how you do!! Hi everyone I am getting cold feet for my surgery which is scheduled for tomorrow. I feel like I am one big failure. My doctor put me on the all liquid for 2 weeks prior to surgery diet and I couldn't even stick to it fully (I incorporated 1 high Protein no carb meal into my daily plan). I am so mad at myself. I have come this far and even stopped smoking to have this surgery (was a smoker for 20 years) and now I am feeling like 1 big failure because of eating habits. Im scared that my inability to stick to this all liquid plan is going to cause my Doctor to tell me my liver is too fatty and to do an open lapband surgery instead of the laprascopic. I don't know what to do but I am so scared right now that i am ready to call the office and cancel. PLEASE HELP!!!!
