Port question

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be able to feel my port or not. I had the SILS procedure so I have the big incision under my belly button, then two smaller incisions under my rib cage and on the left side of my belly. Where would the port be?

My port is located about 1 inch below my larget of 5 incisions. which is slightly to the left of my upper abdomen. Just feel around. It will feel hard. As we lose weight, it will be easier to find as it's under the fat and attached to the muscle.

That doesn't sound like SILS. You had three incisions so am I confused on how that is a single incision procedure. I though SILS meant that actually stick everything in through your belly button. If so, I imagine it would be directly under there?

I found out by accident where my port was when I was leaning up against my washing machine, it was very obvious where it was. Also if you lay on your back and stretch out you might find it that way...its usually the most tender spot on your belly.

Try lying on your back and lift your head to engage your ab muscles...then start feeling around. You should be able to feel it there somewhere... Mine is just left of the midline, below my bra strap.

I said the same thing! The surgeon said he was going to have to make a tiny incision under my ribcage in addition to the belly button incision, but I don't know what the third one is for. I will have to ask at my follow up visit.
