  1. Dont get discouraged! I was banded on 01/21/11 and when I went in for my 2 week check up the Dr. told me all of this is to be expected. He even said, dont get discouraged. He said once you start to heal you will be able to eat just about the way you did before being banded. This is normal until your start getting fills. Im glad he forewarned me or else I would have been worried too...Im just holding out and looking forward to that stage
  2. I am 3 weeks post op today, and alot of the pain has subsided. The Dr. says alot of it is still air from the surgery. I do still have some port pain though. But have been told that goes away eventually as well.
  3. I was told the strechy band thing, I called it my girdle, lol...was for you comfort. So you can wear it for as long or as little as you want. I found it helped alot while trying to sleep. I had alot of gas pain in my chest and port pain. That is probably what you are feeling under your breasts. Im 2 weeks post op and it is mostly gone now. However I still do get some pain in the port area here and there. Hang in there...it gets better!
  4. From before my surgery to after my surgery I gained 16lbs! I was like, WTF? I wasnt sure the different scales were off or what? It was a shock but dont get down on your self. We have to remember. We had surgery only 2 weeks ago! I think our bodies are in schock and holding on to everything for dear life! I think the liquids have alot of sodium as well and completely makes you retain Water. Im holding strong and looking forward to my first fill. Hang in there. I think from what Ive read, it only gets better
  5. Hang in there! I had my surgery a little over 2 weeks ago on 1/21 and I felt the same way. It was all I could do to get up and go to work. But just this weekend I started feeling alot better. In fact better than I have in a long time. I think our bodies just need to recooperate from the hell of surgery we put it thru! And having some other food probably doesnt hurt either. I started eating some cream of wheat, oatmeal, milk and yogurt.
  6. The Diet Snapple is good and come in several flavors.
