  1. There are sites online with recipies. Try Bandwagon blog. This ladie is a bandster, and has some great recipies.
  2. Good luck to you. I'm 4 days away from surgery and can't wait. Blessings.
  3. I too like the Premier brand from Costco. I also have some dry mix which is Nectar brand. this is very good also.
  4. My Dr requires it. I had mine done and he found some small ulcers and a hernia. I've been on meds for ulcer and he will take care of the hernia at the time of surgery. I had to have a 2nd one to check the ulsers and now I'm a ok......Surgery date Feb 14th
  5. What an inspiring post. I'm preop, surgery scheduled for Feb 14th. I just started attending OA (Overeaters Anom) for support. I have not said anything in OA meetings yet and I don't plan on telling them about my Surgery but I do find the meetings encouraging since I've only been to 3 meetings. It's nice to know that there are a lot of others with eating issues. The band is a tool and I'm worried about the mental part. Have been working on that very hard. Blessing to all on the board on their personal journeys.
  6. When in doubt call your Dr's office. They have support people for questions like this.
  7. I'm having my surgery on the 14th also. I see the Dr and Nutritionist on the 1st for Preop diet and consent signing. Good luck
  8. My date is Feb 14th. I was able to pick this date. What a great gift I'm giving to me. I have done all the Med diet, physc etc and have my medical insurance approval. I go in on Feb 1st for PreOp review, diet (liquid?) physical and consent signing. I stay in the hospital overnight. Very excited. I feel it's all the "emotional" stuff that got me into this and have been working on that with a therapist and have started going to OA meetings. I just recently found this site and love it. I have had a lot of my questions answered and reassurance from reading posts on here.
  9. I have my date set for Feb 14th. Excited but scared. On Feb 1st, I go for preop signing and start liquid diet.
  10. My Dr's office said to fax my copy to them and they could use it while waiting for their copy. I have my surgery scheduled Feb 14
  11. Hi there, I too am looking for some support and will be 60 this year. I will be banded on Feb 14th. I do live alone and no pets. Darn allergies.... I have been divorced for 20 years and have not been in any relationship in 5 years. I am so looking forward to this life change for healty reasons but also mental. It the mental/emotions that I'm worried about the most. Kinda that fear of the unknown. I just found this site tonight and look forward to chatting you some more and having a supportive place to visit where people understand what your going through. Lovequilts
  12. Hi Seattle Sweetie, I am also going to the SWL clinic. I haven't see much of Dr McMahon but love all his staff. I got my surgery date of Feb 14th. I'm very excited but also scared to death. It seems like since I got my date, I can't stop eating. LOL. I'm trying to find a local support group. Do you know of any? Would like to keep in touch. Thanks. Lovequilts
